Never Ever a Celtic captain

 

So poor again today. And you just know that he will be first name on team sheet next game.

 

His head hasn’t been in it since the rat left and he’s got one foot out the door. Either commit or leave, but either way he’s never captain material.

 

He has been shocking this season, as pretty much all have been. He is a fantastic player though who will get back to his best playing under a proper manager, just need to hope we appoint one.

 

His time has come and gone I think. Can’t remember the last time I got excited to see him playing.

Hes been rotten, anything close to 15 million snap their * hand off!!

 

Truth is he's always been vastly over rated amongst the support due to the lavish praise Brendan always used to give him, the same person that also called Joe Allen the Welsh Xavi.

In Europe he's never consistently performed to a high level and was only decent against Sevco when they were absolutely * before Gerrard became their manager.

 

I'm not going to be overly harsh slating him. He's one of our best players and he'd be a huge loss if he left. He struggled yesterday but having an over the hill Brown beside you would affect anyone's game and it's happened several times this season.

 

Hes awrite. We can do better. Overrated. Thats why we're in this mess thinking players like mcgreggor and Christie are good.

 

100% blinded by these type of players - they aren't physical - get over run - cannot tackle - poor in front of goal and hanky ball players. we fudge them into the team - def not captain material for me - good squad player for me but should not start over 80% of games. be interesting what happens if a new manager comes in with fresh ideas and allegiances to former players.

if you look at what davis does for the blue side compared to mc gregor - he knows when to pick the correct pass, control the tempo of play and cover the pitch. perhaps mc gregor is shattered and needs a good long rest? but we cannot afford to be resting players we need to rebuild with players to hit the ground running - next season is mammoth for so many reasons.

 

I think he wants to go.

Ive no problem letting him go, because once a player has a desire to go, i dont care who you are, then the club should sell.

I hope im wrong and he wants to be here apart of the rebuild, because we may only have 2 or 3 players in our squad that have contracts beyond next season, that are first 11 player.

Ironically i now feel is best position is higher up the field and where one of are other contracted player, good enough for first 11 turnbull plays

 

If we learn anything from this year I think it’s if the player wants out just let them go

 

Shat out of numerous challenges yet again..
