Shocked that we've somehow managed to recoup the money that we spent on this guy.

Shame it never worked out, he came in and worked hard, I really felt for him when he wasn't given a start against Ferencvaros, felt as though Neil Lennon showed how highly he thought of him by opting to go with no strikers and then saying Klimala's fitness was why he never started, despite having no injuries and being here since January, albeit Covid break.

I think everyone was destined to fail this * season. Shame, I didn't think Klimala was good enough for us but he wasn't given a fair chance.

Good luck to him. He gave his all.

Lawwell, overall, for me is a poor CEO for the football club.

But say what we want, he * knows how to get a good deal for selling players for sure!

All the best to klimala, his style most certainly was different to what we play, he tried his best and worked hard and showed plenty of desire and commitment, something that deserved a better run of games for and some commitment back to him.

But it is what it is, so fair enough, money back on the lad and he goes on to a better life no doubt in new York.

All the best to him. I'm planning on watching a bit of MLS this coming season so will watch out for him when I can.

Good attitude, but never looked up to Celtic standard.

Hope he does well in the future though. Seems like a good sort.

He had the right attitude just not enough talent to be the main man, i wish him all the best if he does go

Find it hard to believe we are getting our money back on this guy but its certainly an excellent deal if its true.

They will be hoping to get a lewis Morgan type scenario. A fringe player here that is a main man over there.

Confirmed, disappointing to see him go.
Isn't the answer to the Key striker question of who comes next after Edouard, but he offered something, showed great determination and commitment and deserved a better opportunity than we ever afforded him.

Struggled with no right winger all season, refused to play Dembele who looks like he could have done with the chances this season and would be looking like a much better player. Equally, if we refused to play Dembele at right wing, then playing a 433 with Klimala on the right with Edouard on the left and Ajeti through the middle would have been unreal for attacking power.

But alas, like most things at Celtic, we do things to keep pals in a job rather than what is best for the club.

Just another one in a long line of * strikers we’ve had. Boy works hard and that’s it.

The bigger question is who looks at guys like Klimala, Bayo, Bolingoli etc. and thinks they are a suitable option for Celtic? Madness.

Klimala was * on the ball. He'd have been a man down on the right side of a three.

Going from sitting on a bench in the SPL away to Hamilton Accies with no fans and a dire atmosphere all round at the club to getting a move to NYC to play pro footie and a decent wage no doubt. Bit of a upgrade for tbh lol.

    Absolutely disagree.
Certainly not saying he was the answer to all our issues or anything. Certainly isn't the best striker we have had at the club, he rightfully is 4th choice.

But for me his running, directness and commitment is very much like Samaras and what he would do from the left side.
Klimala on the right side playing that sort of role would have most certainly gave us something else to our game.

When his most notable attribute was that he runs about a lot then it was never going to happen for him. Shoddy recruitment once again.

Agreed. That about sums it all up for me. Amazed though that we somehow managed to recoup our 3.5m for him.
