    Need to get this lad a contract extension and see where he's at in the summer. Him Welsh jullien and another to cover centre half next season maybe. But would have to be with a manager that would rotate and ensure Welsh and hjelde get enough game time

    Hughes said that Hjelde had to sign a contract extension before he went to Ross County on loan because Leeds United were interested in him, but according to Transfermarkt, his contract expires in the summer of 2022.

    Surely, we ensured that he had more than a year left on his contract in those circumstances? Are we going to face a situation where we could lose him in the summer because we have failed yet again to plan for the future?

    Canny be any worse than the Duff-man.

    We should be signing more Scandinavian guys. They tend to fall in love with Celtic and be really loyal, and on top of that cracking players.

    Just can’t get enough Depeche mode
    I’ve always loved Scandinavian and Dutch players for some reason lol, i’d much rather we looked at those markets than the english championship

    Did alright. Moved on from us at the end on a downward trajectory into some of the lesser known teams, Man Utd and Barcelona, I think, not even sure what league they play in.

    John Hughes is a proper football man so his opinion should be valued. The fact Southampton and Leeds, clubs with a reputation for picking up good young players, have been credited with an interest confirms he is a talent.

    Hopefully he has a strong finish to the season and then gets a chance to impress during pre season.

    Just begs the question why we didn’t make more of an effort to loan players out at the start of the season. Hjelde, Otoo, Connell etc all done well since being loaned out in recent months.
