Last week this place was full of rage when some thought Keane was about to be announced, this week is full of excitement as some believe Howe is about to be announced. Next week? Bewilderment when Kennedy gets it?
I will wait until whoever it is is standing on the pitch with a scarf over their head during an official announcement from the Club.

Think it is a nice encapsulation of the mood of Celtic fans and what the board should expect depending on who they get in the door.

Keane - anger
Howe - excitment

We know what happens when fans are angry - we protest, we stop spending and lining their pockets
Excited - we go all in, we buy everything!

Still need to see it over the line, but this week with Howe it does feel and read more and more like we are actually about to pull this one off.

Is this to be an immediate start or for next season..?

I know next season is priority but could get right back into it with the SC ... assuming we don’t fckk it up this weekend.

Howe would surely fancy a go at a cup with only a handful of games to play. Hopefully the team would be right up for it too.

There’s still records to be broken (our own) and 5 Scottish cups in a row would be quite something. More importantly stopping the durties having another weekend out at George Sq.

Fingers crossed this Howe speculation, comes true and he does take the position.

Pretty sure, without inside knowledge that Dyche to Palace is a done deal, and Rafa will also return to Newcastle at some point. So for me, this is Howe’s best option (like BR) to showcase his abilities to manage a top EPL club in a few years time.

Irrespective of the limitations of the SPL, winning and competing for trophies does raise profiles, as does performing consistently well in front of 60,000 most weeks.

A good European campaign thrown in as well, and you can see the advantages Celtic provide over a multitude of mid table wannabe EPL clubs.

Not sure Sevco will be quite as easy to destabilise as many on here think, but Howe’s a big step in the right direction, and a * sight better manager than Lennon.

A season of massive disappointment, might well have an optimistic ending!

 

One of the most positive things if it is Howe is his ability to improve players already at his disposal, that's clearly evident in the videos people have put up. club is full of players with good potential already. Turnbull Robertson Welsh johnson dembele (if he stays) soro Lee O'Connor connell afolabi ajeti Christie (if he stays)Montgomery, Liam Shaw to name a few. Young players in the club who appeared to have no hope under Lennon with getting into the team would have an opportunity to improve and become better and break through. A good Celtic manager should pay his own pages with players development and European success.

That would be a lose lose situation for everyone, if he doesn’t win the cup he’s off to an immediate bad start and the chances of that aren’t as good as previous years considering the squads a mess and can’t last 60 minutes

 

Said in December I wouldn’t renew the ST unless the next manager was something exciting. Fully expected it to be a Keane or someone of that ilk. Get Howe in and I’ll be whoring myself out to Celtic home and away like every other year. Kammmaaan.

 

Should show that to Howe.

 

Christie wont ever get better. How can you get better when you think your already amazing in your own head?

Christie can get better than he is just now, his previous two seasons he was.
