Potential Manager Suggestions?

Really hope he makes a move for begovic and harry wilson on loan

 

Peter Grant worked/played with Eddie Howe while at Bournemouth. If Howe goes to Peter Grant for info and advice if he should go tell Celtic then Howe to Celtic is a done deal. Peter Grant is Celtic through and through, a true Celtic man.

 

What about French Eddy and English Eddy...

Doesn't excuse the arseholes for this season though but Howe will do well for us..

It is a big jump but I think he seems like the right fit for the kinda rebuild we need with a vision and clear identity in how he wants us to go..

 

I think he’s got the character. Steve Clarke on the other hand would have folded.

 

In a ideal world, i woukd like maresca in as an assistant with the view to taking over. If were serious about restructure. The idea isnt to replace a whole staff. It would be to engrain a style / identity then going to get the best type of manager fir the clubs style. The manager would be a cog.

 

Begovic has had a really shaky season, I think there was rumours that that was why they recalled Travers. I'd rather we tried to find a more permanent solution to the keeper position anyway. Wilson could be a good shout, he's really slow but that might not matter too much for how much of the ball we normally have + Howe's possession based style.

Maybe we're going for both Howe & Keane would be a perfect balance

Think turbull could be the equivalent to david brooks at bournmouth! He looked to be flourishing under howe

some right bargains he found at Bournemouth. A few dodgy signings in there too but mostly good.

 

I'd be delighted with Howe I think, for the most part. Definitely got the Rodgers type of standard, improves players, improves the system.

My only two concerns would be he's completely untested in Europe so would probably expect a few wobbles as some of the teams up here catch him out or the traditional first European qualifying game disaster.

Other being the English media circus that hyped him up, 'Best young English manager' and all that * would mean a threat of it not being a long stint. I know he was at Bournemouth for like 10 year all in but if he does well with us there's just going to be constant drone that he takes up the challenge of * Aston Villa or some * 2/3 year in.

I've seen this a few times. We accept that guys like Van Dijk, Wanyama, Dembele etc are only likely to stay here for 2 or maybe 3 seasons. So why do people have a problem with that when it comes to managers?

If in 2 or 3 years time the likes of Everton or Villa come in for him then it probably means he's done a good job here. If the club replace him properly then it's exactly the way we should be operating.

 

How could he not?
