    Eddie Howe is an outstanding coach with an unbelievable head for detail. If he gets us playing the way he wants us to play, we will be unstoppable.

    I want Eddie Howe, no question - however, if an EPL club comes calling i cannot see him turning that down - double the salary and a player budget we can only dream of. Hope i am wrong of course :ynwacelti

    I do agree to an extent but if you take Newcastle, Burnley or Brighton etc you won't get supported and you will likely end up another journey man. Howe really can't afford another relegation. If he has a good 2 to 3 years you can get a really good job like Rodgers.

    My only concern with Howe is i hope we don't get flooded with journey men from down south like sevco have.

    I don't mind the odd journeyman, you need back up players. My hope is that he is willing to use young guys like Connell, O'Connor, Johnstone, Welsh, Hjelde and Robertson or at least have plans for them to go out and join in a years time. There is talent there and at worst they are reliable back up.
    I'm not sure how his history with youth is.

    Celtic have made contact with Eddie Howe, as they continue to search for a replacement for Neil Lennon.

    Howe is understood to be considering a number of options as he prepares to return to football, nearly a year after leaving Bournemouth.


    The Celtic hierarchy are believed to be impressed with Howe, and could propose a package that may tempt him back into management.


    The Hoops have been linked with a number of high-profile candidates since Lennon left the club in February, with John Kennedy named interim manager in the meantime.

    Earlier on Thursday, Kennedy said he had been given no timescale for the arrival of a new manager or head coach.
