Been away for a couple of days and read last few pages. All of a sudden got a massive feeling of positivity and love for the board!! Surely this is a wind up! I wanted Marsch but that was a pipe dream.

Bring the guy in let him rip it up from top to bottom and give him what he wants. A guy of his calibre will have no problems in putting the huns in their place relatively quickly.

Agree with all of this, it’s basically Rodgers MKII.

 

Absolutely - at Bournemouth, he was apparently in about 6.30am and frequently there late. He's looking for something he can really build and, if he's allowed to, I think we fit the bill. In the video with Lineker, I liked his vison and passion (you saw the video analysis room so a bit different from Lennon then). I'm glad that he is asking around and doing his due diligence - I'd sooner he didn't come than comes and gets **** around by Desmond and leaves.

While I didn't care for how Rodgers left - he did leave a much more professional set up at the club (which Desmond allowed Lawwell and Lennon to destroy!).

Frankly, if Howe turns us around and gives his all which makes him in demand in the EPL - I don't care. Let's face facts - if we get a successful manager, there will always be much more lucrative opportunities.

If Howe does great for us and we get 3 years out of him then moves on - fair enough (although I hope it's done in a better manner than Rodgers).

I'd love to get him but, if he's not happy with the set up off the pitch or doesn't get the required assurances from Desmond - I'd sooner he said no now rather than have a situation where we have an unhappy manager and Desmond trying to prove he's top dog.

 

Bring him home.

I am very excited to see Howe's name but when I saw the other two - that's exactly what I thought.

 

Spurs mate wanted him to replace Poch when he was sacked.

He's still really highly rated down here and would be some scoop if we were to land him.

 

I really hope Celtic push the boat out and get Howe, really exciting young coach with everything needed to succeed.

The fact he's apparently running his eye over the structure sounds good to me too, it's so important to have that solidly in place to build on and move forward and he understands this.

 

Sky bet have gone 11/10 on him to get the job today which worries me (45% implied probability)

That's just more fantasy stories from the papers, same as the due diligence headlines now. How do they know? they've proven time and again they know nothing. Same as the bookies who have a different forerunner everyday yet people post it on here as if it has huge relevance. Can't understand why people still believe a word the rags say nowadays. We wanted Howe in November, he rejected us but we never moved for anyone else? Just left it at that, Howe or nobody! We wanted him that much yet stalling on appointing him now. Think man.
