More proof tonight why we don't want Steve Clarke.

That Scotland squad should do better than it does. Consistently struggling against Israel shows the level that team is performing at. Scotland are 40 places higher up and we still only manage a draw.

 

I didn't my know if it's been mentioned already but as fate has it, eddie howe at bournemouth all but secured there place in the prem league by beating neil lennon's bolton 3-0.

 

Definitely isn't making the most of the tools he has, Welsh & Turnbull should have 100% been called up to the senior squad for a start

If it were to be clarke I see us being far better in defence , and rest takes care of itself .



I wouldn't be against it seeing the Keane rumours but I'd prefer howe or a few others.

Not believing any 'rumours'. I'm sure before Lennon was announced some folk were convinced we were going to get Rafa Benitez. Would prefer Howe out of all the names mentioned with Maresca the second choice.

 

How would we see a different Clarke? He always has been a defensive coach from what I've ever seen. Yes defense needs sorted out but we cannot be a sit and defend counter attack team the majority of the time.

The Israel games have been a great example of the difference in quality with Scotland a team that should be far better, yet its a case of shoehorning players in for the most part and then underperforming.

But if it was clarke or Keane, I would have to say Clarke, but please neither of them

 

Pretty certain when we played against them at rugby park he had us on the back foot on more than one occasion playing decent attacking football.

 

A few guys in work are saying Keane has the job, now if Keane was such a great manager why has he not been interviewed for other EPL jobs that have came up.

 

Stephen McGowan and Alison McConnell two journos with quite close links to Celtic don't think he's getting it. There was also an article yesterday saying he wasn't getting it either

 

We saw with Lennon how "rest takes care of itself" works out. If you send out the players on the pitch and tell them do what you like in attacking, I believe in you, you're gonna have another * show like this season. In modern football players need tactical instructions in any part of the game.

 

Keane hasn't been a manager for at least a decade. Appointing him would be a big backwards step, in my opinion.
