I hope your right. I really do. Celtic are a reactive club, a slow one at that. With all the changed and people still in other jobs it's hard to see it being implemented in time. Fingers crossed.

It was announced a couple of weeks ago (by Sheffield Wednesday, I believe; I am unsure if we have reported it), but the move was rumoured for a while before that.

Sheffield Wednesday are unhappy about it, but it seems to be a done deal. The player has spoken about coming here.

 

I came of Twitter a while ago so not seen any these rumours about Howe. What’s the talk?

For those with the time, and interest, I stumbled across ‘minus 17’ on YouTube.

Which details the state AFC Bournemouth were in before Howe was appointed.

Essentially they were a club without any structure, a transfer embargo and in the bottom 2 of Div 2 when he was appointed on NYE 2008.

He took over a club, who had recently seen an iconic No 8 suddenly retire!!

Fwiw, I’d be very happy with Howe and feel the club should break the bank to appoint him

Which makes me think he's been offered the job here a couple of days and announced after the Falkirk game could be the reasom for no pictures hes self isolating

 

In addition watching the Howe interview on coaching voice (also YouTube) EH mentions how much support he’s had previously from a certain Brendan Rodgers, as they had similar philosophies.

Perhaps Eddie has had enough of relegation battles, and fancies a rebuild at Celtic to further his career

 

I'd be buzzing if it was Eddie Howe tbh, he was my first choice of all the names linked, albeit Marsch would've been quite a coup. Despite some of the doubts people have of him being too nice or able to handle the pressure, his style of football and philosophy/professionalism is what we desperately need.

Enthusiastic coaching, attention to detail, fantastic man-management all big plus points for me. Plus he's still got lots to prove and the chance to win leagues and manage in Europe should be big motivators for him to come here.

Maresca too much an unknown quantity for me, although he may well be a fine coach. Keane * no, everyone else we're linked with doesn't fill me with much excitement. Maybe setting myself up for disappointment but * it I need a buzz of some kind this season!
