No I didn’t mean that. Hendry was mostly horrendous under Rodgers. He isn’t a Lennon mistake. I don’t think he will make it here.

yeah I know Rodgers signed him but wasn't he playing for us with injuries? At least that's what I read.
He also had a big injury in Australia, seems to be getting some good praise since he built himself back up from injuries in Belgium.

We may as well try to convince him to stay with us and we have another look.

I don't think bad positioning sense can be due to an injury unless it's a concussion and I don't think he played all his games for Celtic with one. Think the Belgian league suits him more and that's why he looks to have improved. He ripped of Celtic supporters with tickets for the Glasgow derby so he can * off.

Can someone explain the arrangement with that Belgian club? I know there is a option to buy? I assume that fee is already set? (Probably * all )

I read the fee is 2 million.

They have the option to buy so all they have to do is agree terms with the player and we would have to sell for the 2 million.
Hendry could reject any deal with the Belgium club then he would come back to us as the option to buy would then be null and void as the player doesn't want to move.

Oostende can choose to activate the buy clause (£1.75mil ish) theybthwn need to agreed contract with player himself. If they choose to activate and player agrees then that's it, he's away to them, if they choose to activate and he's refuses the offer then he is still our player.

I'm hoping Shved will come back here because he's in the same situation as Hendry in relation to his team being able to activate the buy clause, hopefully new manager will want him back to work with him.

The difference with the Shved scenario seems to be that the club want him but can’t afford or are trying to negotiate down the agreed fee so we would be able to tell them to bolt. However it will depend on the player as Shved seems to have been quite vocal that he wishes he didn’t come to Scotland in the first place.

With Shved liking the 'Neil Lennon leaves' post from the official Celtic account it would appear Lennon leaving could be a game changer for Shved in terms of staying, depending on the new boss obviously

Played well, steady & confident. Nothing flashy but competent. He is playing with a new found confidence that was missing before.

I don't think the bar should be set against the 20/21 season. We must do better than Jack Hendry if we are to move forward as a club.

Like I said, I'd rather play a youngster from the unders than play Hendry (or Duffy).

He did ok from what I seen but was pretty slow to react at Austria’s opener he seemed to be closest to the guy who anticipated the rebound but didn’t read the situation at all.

Physically has everything for a modern day defender but will never, ever, be a Celtic centre half.

at fault for both goals imo. Slow to react for the first and caught goal side for the second.

The goalkeeper was at fault for the first. All our defenders had every right to think he should have held that, really poor goalkeeping.

I watched that back a few times thinking that he might have done better but Marshall pushed the ball out into the path of the attacker. I'm not sure Hendry could have anticipated where it would end up. I felt Marshall should have done better with the initial save.

I would have Hendry back as his potential is growing!
