I really can’t see the board appointing Keane after the season we have had. They know they will need to sell ST to make up for any loses during the pandemic.

I think DD is very much keeping his cards close to his chest in that interview and even if Keane was his preferred choice it would have to be approved by the board as a whole.

What’s going on here, surely Roy Keane isn’t coming near the club for a managerial role

 

My main concern if we got Keane would be his man management with the players. He's definitely no shrinking violet and, as we all know, isn't afraid to speak his mind. Unfortunately modern day players are usually spoilt, moody and don't like to be confronted by an aggressive shouty type manager. So, if our dressing room was split before or if there were players who never got on with our previous manager and refused to play for him, then I reckon it would be worse with Keane.

 

Whats he going to be like when we force an entire backroom staff on him then?
Like Lennon coming back, if the reasons are true for why he knocked us back last time (why Lennon left last time), I don't see what's changed since then to make the situation any different....apart from the manager in question needs a job off a pal.

I can't believe it's going to be Keane, think this is just too many bad soundbites at this stage.

Surely to * this board aren't this stupid.

But if they've actively opened dialogue with him, then it's pretty telling how * stupid we actually are. Even if he doesn't get the job, we really shouldn't be entertaining him.
