Does anyone actually want Keane? I never see anyone that does. Is he as bad an appointment as we think?

In my opinion Keane is another Lenny in the way he operates.

He is also friendly with DD and is the cheap option...

True but i think he rules with an iron fist which in this day and age does not work, unlike when Keane was playing

We need someone with a a good background in coaching as well as in management, someone who has class, dignity and commands respect -

    Steve Clarke all day long...

Yes, because Keane rejected us. Are we really going to hire a TV pundit who has a poor managerial record, hasn't managed full-time in a decade, and turned us down in 2014?

If so, this is one itch that Dermot Desmond clearly wants scratched.

    Don’t be fooled.

Roy Keane won’t be the man.

If Keane did come in there would be good coaches too I’d assume. Like with over the road its Gerrard who I think is the guy that demands the respect, has a presence and attracts the players but it’s Beale who is the coach. I think Keane would do all that too.

I see a lot of Keane/Lennon comparisons which I don’t get, For the record Keane isn’t who I want but who knows what he would be like.

This would be an absolute disaster
Keane starts off every job well. The players respond to his reputation he gets a reaction
Then slowly they start to get bored of the angry man attitude

when he went into the Ireland job it was a promise that he had mellowed. He had changed his attitude etc etc
Again, starts off ok but slowly there’s a large section of the squad against him. Players pulling out of call up. Voice recordings of arguments and players talking about him

The game has moved on. Sadly a lot of these players are pampered. The want to be treated like stars.
Look at Lennon. He has that angry side like Keane sooner or later the players get totally sick of it

    you need a balance.
    The game has changed

Thanks mate. I'll try not to let a satirical football agent account on Twitter fool me.

I never knew where there was going to go.

But now I know even less and it scares me to think the board, after witnessing this season, think the answer is to go down the cheap no mark route when it's clear fan footfall and fan spending will nose dive even further if they go down that road.

Don't get me wrong, covid will likely mean we'll see losses reported regardless, but to * of the fans anymore when they could stir up a perfect brew of anticipation and excitement by overhauling the system with a DoF and a respected name for coach, fans will likely flock back two fold because of covid and desperate to see this wholesale change in action.
