The board have themselves to blame for this. They’ve remained silent. Yes there’s money in the bank but how are they planning to go about this restructure?

We have been done with too many loans. Too many players not good enough. Too many players wanting to leave. Too many players not interested.

If the players aren’t bothered why should the fans be? Frimpongs comments summed it up.

The board allowed apathy to set in. A sense of entitlement and complete tunnel vision.

We have less money in the bank, less players we can call our own and at real risk of not having 52k renewals for the first time in five years, all down to the mismanagement of the club.

It’s astonishing to think we need a minimum of seven players, ideally ten but I still think they’ll have to loan one or two in as well. It’s absolutely shocking really.

One other thing that’s majorly * us is the lack of a youth academy. Who wants to sign for Celtic u23s to maybe play a few bounce games a season!? It showed after the Dubai disaster the youth players weren’t up to speed and that cost us majorly, dare I say those were the two games that completely * the league.

    interesting but worrying times ahead!

Hope we have another window like Lennon's first one where we signed 10 players. Just get the sporting director in first

Hopefully so, I don’t remember any loan signings that season and a bunch of free signings too.

I think Athletico Madrid has an optional future fee of £35 million as part of his loan. I'm not 100% so don't quote me on it but we won't get as much as we expect from him cause the * has fallen out of French football and basically every team outside of PSG will be a selling club.

It should be a market we are scouring as part of the rebuild but I don't trust us to take advantage of it

It is this level of change that we need as you say it is like football manager stuff but is needed. We should be able to generate between £60m- £70m (total below is £67-69m) if you include the Frimpong money and Elhamed from January.

    That’s based on

Barkas £2m (we will likely pay his fee in instalments AEK may right off what we still owe them).
    Elhamed £0.8m
    Frimpong £8m (£11.5m-Man City cut)
    Ajer £12-14m
    Hendry option is £1.75m
    Boli £1.5m
    Bitton £0.75m
    Ntcham £4.5m
    Rogic £2.5m
    Christie £7.5m
    Shved £0.75m
    Harper £0.25m
    Dembele £0.25m
    Bayo £1m
    Ajeti £2m
    Edouard £20-22m
    Dembele £1.5m from sell on.

If you take it the cash at bank of £19m in January goes by the end of the season due to COVID hit. You then take off £12.75m for purchases of last summer (figure in the accounts in January).

Then buy example players on a budget of £25m by utilising bosmans.

GK- David Marshall or Marcus Bettinelli or Asmir Begovic (max £0.5m)
RB - Ryan Nyambe or Milan Van Ewijk (£1m) or Adam Smith (£0) and recall OConnor (£0m) or Joe Rankin-Costello (£0)
LB - Liberato Cacace (£3m) or Malden Devetak (£1.5m) or Massadio Haidara (£0)
CB x3 Joseph Okumu (£2m); Akos Keckes (£0); Sinisa Sanicanin (£0m) or Riechedly Bazoer (£3m) or Radu Dragusin (£0)
DCM Signed Shaw (£0.3m); Aliou Dieng (£2m) or Dejan Ljubicic (£0) or Alhassan Yusef (£1.5m)
CM Patrick Berg (£2m) or Alex Mowatt (£0) or Simon Olsson (£1m or bosman in December)
AM Daleho Irandust (£1.5m or bosman in December)
RW Anthony Scully (£0) or Isaac Mbenza (£0)
LW Ibrahim Kane (£2.5m) or Evans Kangwa (£0) or Queensy Menig (£0)
ST x 3 Jorgen Larsen (£5m); Sydney Van Hooijdonk (£0); Folarin Balogun (£0) or Kasper Junker (£2.5m); Thomas Henry (£2.5m) or Kennan Karaman (£0) amongst other options.

Obviously this is just an example but we could easily build a squad with flexibility to play a number of ways and have two options per position, clear the decks, account for last seasons spend and have cash at the bank of £29m allowing for us to spend a bit more on players, or receive less for those we sell or not manage to sell them all. We will also have reduced our wage bill with moves like the above and have a fair number of players with potential to be sold for a profit in the future.

Get rid of Ralston, can’t believe he’s still here and would get rid of bitton too now

He's likely gone in the summer anyway. His last year is an option. I'd not worry about it.

Personally I'd have liked him to have been playing now instead of Kenny, as what's the point having a 10 million pound loanee, who's possibly worse. Ralston can definitely play SPL level, but without that test of this half of the season better to sell or let him go.

Jesus! Anyone who thinks we're actually gonna get in about 10-12 players, most who are supposed to stroll straight into the team, is DREAMING! Knowing us, we'll be lucky to have a manager by the knockout phase, and we may sell more than we buy in the window.

My bet would be on more loans, or a load of out of contract signings

Yeah the Kenny loan was strange, * all left to play for. Surely there’s some youth players we can try out or like you say try players out already around the squad

Sure we’ve done it before in times of less rebuilding? And this window will see the most sales we’ve ever made on multiple players I’d imagine so we may well have the funds for it pal. Ajer, Edouard, Christie, ntcham all on their way out. And if mcgregor gets added to that list like it’s possible...that’s a fair wack of money to bring in all at once just on those guys. Add in to those finances other players who’ll be on their way out...shved,bayo, hendry, ralston, etc. There’s no reason why we can’t go out and get 5 first team players, and 5-7 squad players

Ralston has a year left, he ain't getting those wages elsewhere so will be going nowhere on a permanent, may as well just keep him around as a third choice. Disagree on Bitton, still think he has a lot to offer, he's entering his prime & hopefully the new manager will use him properly.

Next year is an option. We don't need to take it up.

We might keep him if he's seen by new management as a viable second choice, but I doubt it. For his career alone he needs first team football so he might not go for it regardless.

The only reason I’d get rid of bitton now is because him being there is taking chances away from the likes of Robertson,Connell etc. And that should be the way we’re going; after soro and Turnbull are first choice. I do like bitton as a player and person, but think we need to start a fresh and let the youngsters get a chance

If that's the case about the year option then aye sling him out the door, Lee O'Connor the far better RB option by all accounts
Can see what you're saying but with Brown, Christie & Ntcham hopefully out the door we're still gonna need some bodies in there
