Just read what Keane done to Gordon there.

Least that would make it more palatable.

Ano, plus Dwight Yorke really has the cheek to moan about anycunt slagging him, especially when you realise that he patched his wean cause it was retarded.

Keane even being considered after being out of management for so long is a disgrace.

For keanes wages we could prob employ maresca and his whole back room staff. It's really an easy one for the board. Harkin or tognozzi as dof and maresca as first team coach. Would bring a new level of optimism for most and most importantly for the board would be positive towards season ticket sales.. get it done, announce it saturday night and give him the remaining games after Sunday.

Lol. If making a * out of Gordon is a pre requisite for the managers job, we might as well give it to Edouard now!!

If it has to be Maresca, then we should take Tognozzi as DoF. Appointing Harkin smacks of cronyism.

If Harkin is to be appointed DoF then it would potentially lead to the arrival of some highly rated youngsters from city.

It will certainly be a factor in whoever gets the role in their ability to negotiate the rebuild in regards to having targets mind.

Front runners would appear to be Tommy Doyle and Liam Delap both loan deals or permanent with buy back clause. This will not be a summer window of us spending fortunes, which points towards harkin as being the man we will see.

I'd want Lukas Nmecha, even if only on loan. Guy can score goals from the wing or as a support striker.

In fairness, who is he going to be able to pick this time round? 10 years after his last job. Micah Richards and Souness dream team?

I like the idea of this.

Overall the Maresca / Harkin duo is growing on me.

Yes, it is risky given Maresca’s lack of management experience but all appointments have risk involved.

I think long-term Maresca and Harkin would bring a clear identity and style, modern thinking, a progression pathway from youth levels to first team.

Short-term they could utilise their links with City to snap up some emerging talent. This would really help us with the rebuild.
