He would actually be disaster on the development of players like Turnbull. Also his spell at Nottingham Forrest shows that he's learned nothing. The players hated him because he was a dinosaur

Roy Keane putting his name out, someone go pick him up at the airport ASAP

And drive him away somewhere to be hidden from the world until we have an actual manager appointed

There’s no doubt that, until this season, the job Wilder did at Sheffield United was incredible. He’s taken them from League 1 to the EPL in such a short time, playing good football and with players who aren’t exactly world beaters.

The two big drawbacks are that he doesn’t want to work with a DoF, and the fact he’s wasted tens of millions on utter dross.

McBurnie, Burke, Ramsdale. Brewster has potential to be decent but the money they spent on him was laughable.

    Wouldn’t want him here.

Keane would be an absolute disaster of an appointment.

Why the wait? The league is gone.....Why no solid leads just a clump off rumours....Howe is available which makes be think hes not interested.....the u23 guy at man c. mustn't tick the box either given it should be a no brainer jumping from u23 to us....how long is this going to take? Maybe a week or two before ST renewals are due then will see an announcement, I pray its not Keane..

    But again why the wait?

Chris Wilder is a very good manager what he did with Sheffield United is nothing short of a miracle considering the state they where in when he took over. His favoured style of football would need some tweaking here as teams don't give us an awful lot of space in behind so would have to adapt and work out how to beat teams when he will have 70% of the ball most of the time but out of possession we would be very good.

People will look at Sheff Utd this season and see a disaster and why the * would we go for someone like that and its fair to say they have been * woeful this season and some of his signings where a shambles, but its worth noting that the players he signed where often based off character in many instances rather than natural ability and their willingness to work in a very tight knit team that battles for each other because thats the sort of manager that he is and the players he likes to sign as its brought him success, again coming to us we need a better mixture of ability & willing characters and none of that excuses signing dogshit like McBurnie & Burke who are never premier league forwards in a million years.

Either way I wouldn't be too upset if he came to us I think he'd do an excellent job in particular getting us all behind Celtic again, the issue is he aint coming here with a DOF so that probably rules him out. There are other candidates that would prefer though.

Anyone but Keane anyway man * me

See if we end up with keane
Maresca has Man City at the top of PL2 so maybe waiting until that is concluded...I hope.

Keane has neither the tactical know-how or temperament to be considered as Celtic manager at this time. On the plus side he might stick the nut on Morelos but tempting as that is it's a no from me.

Keane hasn’t managed a domestic side in a decade. I like the guy and he wouldn’t take any * from the media or that high pitched scumbag at the huns, but nah not as our manager.

If we appoint Keane we may as well not even bother * turning up next season and call it a bogey and gift wrap them another title.

We probably haven’t spoke to anybody knowing how we have been run recently no point guessing. Probably wait till last day if transfer window so that they don’t need to spend money on players.

Whoever it is, they shouldn’t be flung in for the last few games.

Wait till the summer where they can have a proper fresh start. Last thing we need is a new manager in just now getting flung under the bus by this team over a few dead rubbers.

Personally I'd like someone in now..

Just to lift the mood for the support and the squad. We all know the game's are write offs and won't be judged really by just trying some thing's out, or playing some academy boy's as he assesses what he's got here to work with..

At the very least I'd like to see someone appointed now, even if they aren't taking the first team for any remaining game's..

If we get pumped by the huns with a new manager it'll put him under pressure right away imo. Like Pedro at the huns

Tbh I'd have no problem with Keane squaring up to Gerrard on the touchline and then proceeding to lamp him. Would be joyous to see.

But only if he pays for his match-day ticket like everyone else.

Personally think Maresca and a good DOF is probably the best option we have and would be a big coup, given the rebuild needed and the need to modernise. Hopefully as a longer term project.

Don’t see how Keane would be Lennon mk 2, two totally different people.

No chance Keane would let them get as unfit that they are gassed out by 60 minutes. Doubt he would tolerate players like Christie or Ntcham for example playing for themselves and wasting chances. Griffiths/Ajeti coming in unfit etc.

Si Ferry said he was a good role model and would help the youths, and was interested in bringing them on when here as a player, so maybe he wasn’t as unapproachable as made out.

Still don’t think he would be the best option available to us given he has been out management for a good while now, but think it would be a marked improvement on the pish this year. Just not what we need at the present time though.

Completely forgot about Lucien Favre. Just came across a brilliant article on him and his time in management from the start.

Supposed to be a top person and a great man manager.
