I think we'd all love Rafa but he said he's only interested in staying in management at a club where he'll be operating at a high level in Europe.

That certainly isn't us and he's one of the favourites for the Napoli job.

Whoever it is, there's no reason not to announce it now. Gives the fans a little positivity and vision forward. Plus would help with season ticket sales.

New team doesn't have to have any involvement with hands on stuff currently, but as long as well know they're in place and working at the off field stuff would be acceptable in the meantime.

Even if Klopp took the Germany job - I'm not sure Liverpool necessarily want Gerard. I think a lot depends on how highly they rate Michael Beale.

Souness was at Rangers for almost 5 years and won 4 titles and 3 league cups. To be fair to Gerard, Rangers have been impressive in Europe, However, at best he will have won 1 league and possibly a Scottish Cup in 3 years.

Quite frankly, they have had no domestic opposition this season - had we dumped Lennon for a good manager in November, I think we could still have won it.

While a lot of Liverpool fans would love Gerard to come back, a lot remember what a disaster Souness was - it's a whole new level to the SPFL.

I think a lot of them would want to see him do more with Rangers or, preferably, go to an EPL club and show something before coming to Anfield.
