Why is Lambert saying again he wouldn’t touch the job. As if you were even being considered pal.

if true then it’s good we are making contact with decent managers. Howe is the most realistic out of the more ambitious appointments IMO.

Howe would be my first choice. Maresca sounds interesting though, if he has the same mentality as Guardiola.

If Paul Lambert is ruling himself out then I would like to take this time to say I also will not be taking the job

Howe is unemployed at the moment so why we * about give him a salary quote and a answer from him as soon as possible and not waiting about too long as think Howe will be hanging on for a priemership job .

The 2 teams rumoured to be interested are Newcastle and Crystal Palace. Let's be honest, the only advantage we could offer over those 2 would be European football. They could both pay more than us with a larger transfer budget.

If the Palace story is true - I think he'd be tempted as he wouldn't have to uproot his family.

Yeah apparently his kids have started school and he's just moved house. I can't see him doing a Gerrard and leaving his family down south and moving up by himself

could offer him trophies and success which listening to him is more appealing than going to work under someone like ashley ! He is young and plenty of time to make big bucks !

howe comes here an does well then he would build his rep again and be touted for a better club in the premiership like an everton or a Leicester if rodgers eventually moves on to a chelsea or a spurs ! Howe takes a palace or newcastle and gets relegated then clubs will start to consider him a poor manager

Simply - No. I didn't know about the Rennes manager but, looking at his record, he's not a bad option. Why would you hire Henry as a DoF or manager? He failed badly at Monaco. He may come good as a manager but he would be way too much of a risk for us right now.

I think he would probably choose us over Newcastle. Ashley's reputation precedes him and it would mean uprooting his family anyway.

No-one would dispute that we are a much bigger club than Palace and the opportunity to win things is much greater. However, Howe is unemployed by choice - not because no-one wants to hire him.

I just think the opportunity to stay in the EPL - manage a team bigger than Bournemouth and not have to uproot his family will win the day if he's offered the job at Palace.

After 8 defeats in 9 games, and a 0-9 fresh in the memory (again!) perhaps Eddie Howe has his eyes on the saints job.

After Wanyama, Forster, Van Dijk and Armstrong he’s probably thinking why bother heading north in the first place
