    I refuse to believe, although the board have history of dismissing fans.... They would be so blind to the current situation and fan disillusionment and detachment that they'd go down the roads of hiring, Kennedy, Lambert, MON (either one of them) , Henry, Keane because that will cause any further divides between fan and club to be irreversible for some.

    They need to, for once, seriously speculate to accumulate for next season. If they are seen going cheap fans will turn away in their masses, even if the poor * wins us the league next season.

    See thr thing is, Clarke is about on the cusp of being a cheap option but also someone that would likely at least maintain a certain level of success. He's style of football would be divisive but he'd be a better option then those I've named.

    For me he sits in that grey area of just about acceptable to majority of fans.

    Those who would be more welcome would arguably be the pie in sky types like Howe, Rafa, Silva, Rennes guy

    I'm liking these Enzo Maresca rumours, I would love us to take a punt on him, certainly one of the best names on the list!

    I know not a lot makes sense at our club at the moment but if the rumours that we also want Fergal Harkin as our DoF are right then the team of him and Maresca would hit the ground running, they obviously know each other and could potentially know a few players to bring in right away, they would for sure know 2 or 3 from Man City.

    I think at this moment that would be the best appointments would could hope for!
