Not playing in a proper midfield. Brown sits far too back and isn't a contributing midfielder at all. Not in the way McGregor and Soro are for Turnbull.
Less said about Christie the better.

Turnbull is not getting the same linkup in the central areas when we play these players.

 

Thankfully Aberdeen are a shambles of a team. The standard of this league is an embarrassment.

Nick of that squib Kenny, we're abysmal at crosses. Then that * RB takes 20 minutes to clear the ball and gives away a throw in.

Turnbull comes inside, passes to Brown and is looking for the one two. You actually see the arms drop in frustration as Brown turns away from him and passes it to the other side, two passes later Brown has the ball in our backline.
Attack wasted.

That's what is going against guys like Turnbull, it isn't the correct midfield partnership.
Soro on the other hand does the breaking up of play with a quick turn to look forward and play with the attacking nature of our team.
Brown slows it down and drags things backwards.
