I previously thought Alex Neil for some reason, but I’m starting to think it’ll be a more left-field name. The truth is though, I don’t have a clue.

Same. His teams were awful defensively. Not what we need right now.

Wonder if the new Cheif Exec is involved with the recruitment right now.. Not really PL's business cause hes offski at the end of the season. Knowing PL though he will be on the phone to Desmond ignoring any advice outside that bubble

Would include Eddie Howe in that as well. Prefer a manager that can set up a defence.

If I had to bet, I'd put everything I had on Clarke. Hoping the new board push the boat out and get Howe.

With my realist hat on I'd say most other names are pie in the sky, they're either too left field or too expensive. But then I never saw Deila or Rodgers coming either

I'd feel a lot better if some team down there would give Lampard a job.

Who I want and who we will get are too different things. I would love either Howe or Clark (both well within our scope) but I think we will end up with Kennedy after his “caretaker” role.

This penny pinching will constantly follow us as long as this current board are in charge. Great to see Lennon go, but thats only half the battle, next we’ve got to shift the complete load of wanks in the boardroom.

He's incredibly overrated. Took Wigan down after years established in the league, was chased out of Everton. Inherited a golden generation at Belgium. He's not for me.

I would take Steve Clarke. Im sorry, but I don't give that much of a * about how we play (not as much as others anyway) - the guy gets results. You can just tell he would be good.

Obviously he'd want to go to the Euros but I'd take him after that. And he would come with a backroom staff as well (Steve Reid, John Carver - so hopefully Kennedy et al would get punted.

What about Lucien Favre, didn't happen at Dortmund but very good pedigree.

I know a lot of people have been saying Stevie Clarke as a possible manager, although I don't think he'd take that job now and wouldn't be my choice, but I've been wondering if he might actually be a decent fit for DoF role. He certainly turned the whole ship around at Killie when he took over and left them in very good shape.

Steve Clarke isn't really the appointment I'm looking for. I want a head coach in well ahead of the qualifiers, which would be an issue with Clarke.

We all know its going to be someone incredibly underwhelming.

John kennedy is my bet, maybe with neil lennon as his number 2.

That does need to happen and hopefully soon. Clearly whoever comes in as the new coach has to be someone who the new DOF knows and can work well with and be on the same page with overall so to speak.

Can see it being someone like Gordon Strachan as director of football and Kennedy as head coach

I'd go for Clarke. He's been successful everywhere he's been so far and he might play more expansive football with Celtic. It was limited what he could do with W Brom, Killie and Scotland.

If we did get Clarke in as manager, I think we'd perform a lot better in europe and against the huns, but I could see us dropping points against the likes of Ross County, Hamilton etc, obviously a major upgrade on Lennon but i'd prefer we look elsewhere.
