He’s cost the Trust a fair few direct debits IMO, even before today. But the Trust is his toy so he’ll always be a figurehead

Sorry but I can’t get behind the Trust following Low’s tweets this morning.

It is clear that he had a different agenda from us. He has just used our anger to finance more share purchases.

Comparing the sectarian abuse that Lennon received on his debut to the protests for him to leave is in excusable.

Come on, he never compared them at all.

He merely said that he received abuse from opponents (Dundee at the start) and then from his own fans by the end of it. Which is clearly did.
Low never compared them and said the abuse Celtic fans have voiced this season is in anyway comparable to that of the sickening abuse he received as a player and first time as a manager.

Clealry Low is friendly to him, but so *? He's at the head of the Celtic Trust, I'd be more worried if he was the one leading the anger and shouting the same * I have been. Like most in high positions, he will have a much more level head and is more likely then not going to make passing comments that are more expected and kind.

Would settle for the board meeting with fan groups monthly or quarterly as a start...

Im not into fan ownership. If there any proof it works? Representation and a constant dialogue is important however.

When there was a bit of an oomf kicking about for change, I registered with the Trust. Didn't commit to a DD or that and just thought I'd see what it's all about.

Proper apathetic about things now and doubt I will ever do anything else about it. Was exciting at the time but can't be * really :56:

Gonna ask a stupid, or maybe naive, question here... but... if all the Celtic fans that bought season tickets last 2 years insisted on full refund, and then bought shares in the club, would the result be the club losing the money? I know it would result in FAR more ownership for the fans, which the trust could 'borrow', but would it be harmful to the club?

Pretty sure the idea is never for the fans to 'own' the entire club, but instead to have a significant proxy voting capability via a single voice - like the trust, or another supporters group, thus able to actually influence the board and AGM/EGM processes and decisions...

You can still get a refund for the games left last season but can't get a refund for this full season. They changed the T&C's at the start of the season so the fans couldn't claim for it.

If Low is a deal breaker, people can form another entity which groups share holdings into one block.

I’m more interested in getting the message that Desmond either needs to invest in the rebuild or we want him to sell up.

AFC Wimbledon? I did chuck them £20 when they reformed as a non league club. I was pretty * off at what happened to their club. I was also very happy the day they rejoined the league... and I'm not a Wimbledon fan!

'AFCW plc was placed under the ownership of The Dons Trust, a supporters' group which is pledged to retain at least 75% control of that ownership. In 2003 a minority interest was sold in a share issue in order to finance the purchase of Kingsmeadow; given the circumstances of the club's formation, this decision raised concerns among some members but was quickly accepted'.

Gonna ask a reaaaaally dumb question (I ask because I don't know...If i could go back in time, I'd study finance lol) If I put my 'one' massive share over to them..do I lose my share or do I become a member and keep access to my share?

This is why I worked in radio for nine years...button..press..Ooh I can do that!

As far as I understand, you would just be proxy'ing the voting rights attached to your share to the Trust. You retain ownership

It’s a good idea for smaller clubs, not clubs like Celtic.

Having a voice is important that’s all I want us to have really.
