Everton 3rd choice, what did we really expect?

If he’s a player coming from another club, he’s got no right to comment on how the fans should feel.

Absolutely bang average. Our scouting department is a mess, there’s bound to be countless better options out there.

Need to keep remembering, this is an Everton 3rd choice player - basically a lad who became too old for the youth teams and never moved on.
We knew Frimpong AND Elhamed was for the off back in early December and the best this club could do was a loan option for Evertons 3rd choice RB. Says it all.

Either absolute honking scouting and thought put in to this squad, or the board really had accepted Lennon wasn't here long term and have refused to give him more money, as far back as December. Which then just begs its own questions on why the guy is still here.
Seasons went from a disaster to completely wasted.

    Not seeing these quotes?

He's a "does what it says on the tin type of RB". Can't really expect much more from a 3rd choice RB at Everton especially when we look at how poor Duffy has been when he too played in the so called "best league in the world"

Half a season of nothing and we bring this lad in rather than bring O'Connor back from Tranmere and play him till end season. The club's a mess

Jonjoe Kenny baffled by Celtic 'big fuss' as he insists squad have nothing to prove despite 10 In A Row flop

The 23-year-old believes a Rangers revival that has carried them more than a few furlongs clear in the title race is nothing more than a bump in the road for a side more than due a period of adversity.

Kenny’s watched the Hoops rack up the silverware from afar and he’s adamant the remainder of this
campaign is all about lifting the support and restoring a sense of business as usual.

He said: “I don’t think Celtic need to prove anything. They’ve won nine league titles, Nine In A Row, Trebles.

“There’s a big fuss going round but what can you expect? You’re making a big deal out of one season. It wasn’t even one season, it was six months.

“But I think for us as a team, and for the fans who support us, we want to go out and prove to ourselves just how good we are and try and give everyone a little bit of a buzz.

“We want to finish on a little bit of a high and that’s all we can really do right now.

“You can’t forget what this team have done over nine seasons. They have won trophy after trophy and that’s the standard the club have set.

There is more to it, quite a long article but the whole "what the big deal vibe" annoys me

He's a steady right back. Nothing spectacular. Goes about the game in a quiet manner. You won't see him getting beat in too many one - ones down the flank. He's not your modern type of a right back.

"They have won trophy after trophy and that’s the standard the club have set."

And the reason the support are so disenchanted is because we've fallen so far below these standards this season. The performances on the park have been utterly embarrassing for the most part.

Straight out of the Lennon play book that one.
Either Lennon has done a number on him, or the PR machine really is * stupid putting someone out in front of the camera not knowing what the 10 season actually meant.

Can't one of them, someone, just * say "We are every bit as disappointed as the fans, we know what this season has meant and we have to take full responsibility for failing to deliver on this momentous season. We continue to work hard and hope to give the fans something to cheer about in the cups, but we are sorry for the season"

I know this isn't for Kenny, a no mark loan player to make the comment on, specially since he is just in the door, but by * can someone not have told him to shut his trap - or at least pre warned him before he * signed how big the club is and what the history is.

In all honesty I think his signing is a joke and I'm less than impressed with his performance as a RB. Celtic get absolutely nothing out of it. They should have played Ralston or brought back O'connor. At least either could be a squad option to build from for next season or be completely binned out and no uncertainty remain around either.

I don't however hold the nonsense Kenny spouted against him as most likely it is after much prompting and guidance from within by Celtic media team or similar. Lets be honest footballers generally don't stray far from the party line regardless.

He wouldn’t be anywhere near us if he was any better than average.
