Strangely I thought he was quiet up til the last quarter of the game, then his class came through. Brilliant player.

Think we let him go further forward later in the game, and that’s where he is by far at his best.

When players started running in behind it gave him a bit of space as well.

I’ve always liked that in a player if they don’t take a show of it, disappointmenr about you being the option to take off when you know you can be the guy on the pitch thats unplayable is good.

Strive to be better next time round.

    What a player..

Scary that he's still really only settling in here at a new club and had knee operations that kept him out for a year..

    Only gonna improve rapidly..

I think he’s been good but I also think there has been an overreaction with his performances so far. Don’t think he’s shown he’s a better player than Christie - who is slated on here constantly.

Happy to stick my neck out and be proven wrong.

Christie isn't the terrible player that some make him out to be but he's also hugely inconsistent, capable of the spectacular and atrocious all within the same minute of a game.

Turnbull is at the very start of his Celtic journey,.only getting game time in the last 3 months and he's scoring goals regularly, assisting regularly, scored in Europe, picking up MoTMs. At this age Christie was playing with our reserves.

Turnbull oozes class. The mark of a top player is they don't just skelp a baw when put under pressure. Turnbull will compose himself, go either way and wait for the right pass to show; often Christie will hit a speculative pass that gets intercepted.

Once we bring in a better manager and players alongside, Turnbull is going to shine even more than he does now. He's the real deal.

My issue with Christie is his decision making more than anything, it's pretty obvious he's a good player who doesn't really want to stay here anymore, where-as Turnbull will hopefully be here for another 2-3 years.

Turnbull is technically miles ahead of Christie.

His vision and composure is on another level as well.

This. Build our team around a midfield 3 of soro, mcgregor and turnbull.

Turnbull more of a team player than Christie. Christie may be more talented but way too greedy and, as stated already, * poor decision making. Turnbull can see a pass.

His passing and set pieces are far ahead of Christie.

He’s also a lot more efficient than Christie too. I actually don’t know anything Christie is better at.

    On form Christie is class.

His head has been turned and you can see that with his performances. Compare and contrast that to Ajer...

I think if Christie was to knuckle down and concentrate on being the best player he can be, he'd be a class player for us. Having said that, his time is up. He knows it and we know it.

If Turnbull continues to progress the way he has threatened to, he'll be a far superior player. One I hope stays with us forever, no matter how unrealistic that notion is in the modern game.
