He will still have 2 years on his contract £5m is not bad. The biggest problem will be his pay. I've read he is on 60k a week and I imagine that is what would put most clubs off.

Yeah, wages will be an issue and I'm sure he'll be able to attract offers from elsewhere.

I'd be happy to take him for £5m.

My issue with him is where does he really play? In Scotland we should always be playing 2 up front and I’m not so sure he is a natural striker, yeah I know he scores quite a few goals. He’s not good enough, in my opinion to dislodge Turnbull as the 10 or even Rogic. So where does he fit in, I have no real idea. It’s too much to spend on someone who can’t command a starting position 9 times out of 10.

We only played 1 up top under Rodgers and we were breaking records left, right and centre. I don't get the the argument we should always be playing with two strikers. Don't get me wrong, I'm not totally against it, and I don't mind seeing us do it, but playing with one striker, one in behind and two wingers can be even more attacking than playing with two strikers with wide midfielders.

Sinclair was like another striker , if im honest before turnbull was in the team we lacked a player who got into the box , forrest also was good ad getting in the box so we went from 3 or 4 getting in the box to a lone striker

Playing 1 up front worked when both Forrest and SS were on fire.
We now have zero flair on the flanks, so we are having to go 2 up top.
    Recruitment issue.

Is it a recruitment issue completely?

If Lennon doesn't know what his team should look like and play like, how can you recruit?

If the recruitment team doesn't get the right players in, how can Lennon enforce his vision on the team?

Imo it's both. It's a management, recruitment and communication issue. No one is being held accountable. One arm doesn't know what the other is doing. This is why we need complete restructuring from top to bottom in every department.

Is it though? If Forrest was fit, you could play him, Turnbull and Ely behind a lone striker. Plenty of firepower there.

Also, we were stupid to let Sinclair go. Terrible decision.

No chance he will take a pay cut to 20k inline with our top earners.

Sinclair was very good for us but his time was up. He was nonexistent in most games when he featured, contributed nothing.

Still scored goals and assists. He was frustrating but he let forrest get space on the other side as he was always double or trebled up on at times.

Aye, he had five minutes, not scoring is unforgiveable.

His last year or so he didn’t mate, his 2nd season was exactly what you’re saying but even Rodgers dropped him.

Don’t want him back. For what’s it’s going to cost to keep him on a permanent deal we would be better looking elsewhere.

He’s definitely a player. Like many others in the team this season, I refuse to judge him based on performances this year with having Lennon in charge. Really believe that the right manager coming in could get the best out him.

As others have said, he could be worth keeping, as he’s clearly a player and a decent coaching set-up would undoubtedly get more out of him.

However, for me, we’d be better taking the considerable amount of money he’d cost in transfer fee and wages, and putting that to use on someone with a totally clean slate.

His salary at Southampton is something like 60k a week. He'd probably cost 7 or 8m to buy. That sort of funds could bring in 2 or 3 good players.

He's undoubtedly a good player but his lack of pace is frightening for a winger..

Makes a lot of bad decisions and misses some easy chances, yet is one of our top goalscorers..

Think if we're to spend 5 mill on a winger, I'd prefer someone with pace who can skin a man and create out of nothing..

I do like him as well, just no enough to want him back a third season for the money he would cost..
