I was watching a video of Ralf Rangnick talking about his fundamentals that are required to plan performance improvement at a club and the approach to implementing these.

He talks about three C’s Concept, Competence and Capital/Cash. The order of these is very important with the concept element being focused on what is the style and identity of the team so that even on a bad day you can at least recognise the shape and approach the team are implementing. This also has a fundamental role in how you conduct your transfer business as you look for players that fit the system not just sign players who look good.

The second competence, is about all those who operate at the club are they at the right level of competence to do so? Can they fulfil the role you need them for? If they must be developed or replaced.

Only when those first two are in place can you then consider the cash element as throwing money at a team without a concept with incompetent staff will just lead to expensive mistakes.

I thought this was such a great description of the failings we have going on at our club right now. We have no identity to the team or club, the mantra of being a team built on possession based attacking football where young players across the world can come and prove themselves has totally gone. Our club is full of incompetent people in terms of the CEO who thinks he is Director of Football, the Manager and coaching staff of the first team and through to youth team level. Therefore is it any surprise throwing £35m at it over two seasons has resulted in such a failure.

Another interesting comparison was the Ajax team of the 60’s and 70’s, which the book Brilliant Orange was written about. This talks about how a particular change in coach from Rinus Michels to Stefan Kovacs saw a drop in standards which were very strict under Michels to more lenient under Kovacs. The team actually still performed for a season following the change but the slip in standards caught up to them the following season. Again this feels exactly what we are witnessing right now.

Apparently Dominic Mckay is a big advocate of allowing alcohol at games. I have it on good authority from someone that worked along side him in his role as Rugby Head Honcho that his philosophy is the more tanked up supporters get inside the stadium the more likely they are to come rolling out of the stadium and into the Celtic Superstore where they will blow way more cash than they would have if they'd been sober.

Its this kind of forward thinking that been lacking inside the corridors of power at Celtic Park.

An announcement is due in the next few days, confirming the appointment of Ross Desmond to the Board. Unsure as to whether he will be just a director or be taking up a more prominent role.

Another Desmond on the board in some circles we know what we call that .
He will be just be there to do his father's bidding and he's playing sooty and his dad his Corbett and don't know why this would be improvement and just strengthens Desmond hold on the club .
We need total change from top to bottom and not impressed with this move at all and we need people on the board who have the same ambitions as the support .

Selling booze at games, probably at silly prices, is an absolute cert to bring in more money. The fact you can at Rugby, or if you buy a dearer ticket is mental when you think about it.

Obviously not the first thing to focus on or a fix to the problems we have but it’s something we should push for.

It’s absolutely patronising that football fans can’t up here because it’s apparently the working mans sport.

Why not just say he's off at the end of the season get the fans somewhat back on side give us the light at the end of the tunnel and you don't need to pay him out on his bonus. That statement is pointless and says nothing they are aware of supporters concerns and this hasn't been ignored well evidently it has and even within the new statement it's ignored. What the * is there to review we've all seen the performances
