I know a lot of people don’t want to read things like this, but, I have a feeling that there’s every chance that Lennon will start as Celtic manager for the 2021/22 season. If he can survive this debacle of a season, he can survive anything.

McKay would lose all credibility right out of the gate if he were to retain Lennon, so I cannot see that happening.

Surely he can see that he is harming the club at an alarming rate. His decision to persist wi Duffy yet publicly slate Barkas is mind blowing. This is the guy that needs to go. He is the biggest problem at the club. What a joke of a figure now.

Lenny is an obstinate character. He will never say die, he is tenacious and bull headed. All the things that made him such a good player are ironically the same qualities that have contributed to him being such a * poor manager.

There is no dynamic thinking here. His in-game management has never been particularly good but this season has just been horrendous, and when things are so completely obvious that we are getting outplayed at home by St Mirren, Ross County et al, it just speaks for the stunning lack of imagination.

The thing is that these are not bad players on the whole. The bulk of this squad have won 4 consecutive trebles, which is a truly remarkabke achievement, but the slide that has been all too apparent under Lennon just boggles the imagination.
