    Statue, * off.

When did we start claiming CEOs are winning * titles?
No wonder this * had his hand so often in the football dealings and thought he was playing football manager, * actually thinks he won these titles himself.

The delusion is off the scale with Brown, Lennon and Lawwell.
All three are a problem of late and all 3 can be attributed to the failure of this season.

I agree. I think it's a total wind up by Broony however, the majority of the fans are in no mood for wind ups etc. and feelings are still a bit raw. Crack us some tongue in cheek type jokes when we get back to being a good team again Broony

Lawwell is more likely to get a statue outside Ibrox than he is Parkhead.

He slept at the wheel and let incompetence and complacency sweep all over the club, at a time when the club had been afforded a golden opportunity.

Lennon and Broony will need a step-ladder to climb out his * after those interviews. Total riddy.

The part in bold! This is why I want Brown away at the end of the season as well! All the pals act gone.

Lawwell’s famous quote when he appointed Neil Lennon

“He has an eye for a player”

    bolingoli
    Duffy
    Taylor
    Ajeti
    Barkas

    To name a few

Does Lennon have a glass eye?

Retiring soon or not, he’s still CEO, he’s still picking up a fortune every month, he should be stepping in here and doing what needs to be done.
Unforgivable what he’s allowed to happen this season.

    3 things...

    1. It's been an open secret from the start of the season PL was leaving.

    2. His replacement was not signed and sealed until recently.

    3. Lawell had attained over the years such control and power that his role and influence stretched much further than your average CEO. One man was responsible for carrying out the duties of several people. Including that of a defacto DOF. I.e no seamless transitions here. Celtic will need to hire 3 or 4 people to cover Lawells departure.

In a different structure some of his responsibilities would have been delegated and his influence watered down. The fact it wasn't has ultimately proven to be very unhealthy.

Given all that above. Lawell was never going to make a call on a new manager back in Nov when things were starting to slide and he still won't. At most Kennedy would have been given the reigns on an interim basis. Reason being is that the new CEO was still to be identified and along with that his own ideas on our new manager and the likely new managerial structure that even Lawell realised needed addressed.

It's damage limitation now and seeing us through to the hand over of power.

Ultimately his departure was known by most within the club at the beginning of the season, a malaise set in that has been impossible to shake because Lawell was not able or not willing to make the big decisions knowing he was away and as a result of his power grab over the years there was nobody else left to make them.

That is why we find ourselves where we are with Lennon unbelievably still in charge, and a club needing a major overhaul from top to bottom.

Not really, if Lawwell had just done as Rodgers asked, we wouldn't be in this mess, simples. Rodgers knew the board (Lawwell) weren't going to let him steer the ship.

I agree. Unfortunately that means we're in this mess for the rest of the season and into next. The best the fans can hope for is the new CEO starts future planning as soon as he takes the reins. If not doing so already.
