End of an era, I want to be happy about it but until we see what the new guy is up to im holding it back. All he has to do to win me over is sack Lennon and buy some players before the qualifiers though

He has been here too long and complacency had set in with the failure to manage the situation this season .

Rodgers is not our 2nd greatest manager. He is a rat that used us to get a job in the English premiership.

Surely means Lennon is staying for the season. Lawell won’t be hiring a manager and then leaving just after?

Twice I’ve read now that someone has said he’s been a success :56:
If your idea of success is regression in Europe (only won 1 KO tie in Europe since he took over v Barca in 2004)
Wasted millions of OUR * money
Paid himself well over the odds for the job he was doing
Short sighted approach to almost every aspect of our club
Failure to utilise our academy to its full potential and getting out young players out on loan
Not upgrading our facilities to keep them up with the best in football
Appointing managers not up to standard

6/10 CL Qualification failures over the last 10 years under his tenure at the hands of inferior opposition in Braga, Legia/Maribor, Malmo, AEK Athens, Cluj & Ferencvaros, five of those CL Qualification failures were under two managers he hired in Lennon & Ronny, you could even argue Lawwell had a massive negative impact in the AEK Athens CL exit under Brendan surrounding the whole McGinn fiasco, not to mention failing to reach the CL under Mowbray, another manager he chose, although we did lose to Arsenal so no real shame there.

However, it all boils down to hundreds of millions of lost CL revenue that should have been a nailed on certainty given the opposition we faced, absolutely scandalous, all this whilst being the highest paid CEO in the UK, he's got * all legacy, the Quadruple Treble would never have happened without Brendan & it wasn't Lawwell who employed him, 9IAR was only achieved in spite of Lawwell due to the hun implosion, not because of him.

    Good riddance

It's a tough crowd, 29 trophies and our 2nd 9IAR, love him or loathe him, we achieved unparalleled domestic success under his watch, not everything was perfect, but seeking perfection is not realistic in the real World.

What happened in the league in the three previous seasons before Oldco went bust?

The fact people are defending him, and some are actually lauding him is completely infuriating.

If some fans think his tenure has been anywhere near acceptable then it’s no wonder we never progress as a club.

Any success we have had is in spite of him, not because of him. He has limited our potential to a sickening level. Fat Tory Pig.

We wouldn't be in this position if he'd paid the extra £300k and signed John McGinn (and a couple other of Rodgers' 'wants'). Rodgers would still be here and we'd still be skelping the Huns.
