The Scottish champions, who recorded a famous 2-1 win over Barcelona earlier this month, were booed off the pitch after losing to Caley.

Lennon said: "They are frustrated. I disagreed with them, I didn't like what they said about the team. Look, if they are not happy with what I am doing and they want me to go, I will.
If the fans make it clear that they are not happy and they want me out then that's okay, I will do the honourable thing.

"I can't repeat [what the fans said] because it is public arena but there were a lot of expletives and heavy criticism, which I didn't think was justified."

    What's changed:rolleyes:

He actually looks better in that photo than some of his more recent photos.

I really don’t know what to make of all this business with Lennon anymore. Truth be told, I’m sick of hearing about it — much like this continuous, never-ending saga with Covid. It’s honestly getting tedious and draining ..... embarrassing, even.

I think that all of this speculation should be taken with a pinch of salt. These are unprecedented times, so much so that any of the aforementioned scenarios in relation to Lennon’s job could take place. It’s also virtually impossible to say what will happen because the season thus far has been a debacle and the fallout from that has created a media circus and some hysteria, which in itself has created confusion, uncertainty and indecision amongst the board. I personally think he’ll be here until the end of the season and will then either leave of his own accord or by mutual consent (probably the former). I don’t anticipate him being sacked, as it would tarnish his legacy to the point where it could nullify his achievements both as a player and manager over the last 20-plus years, which would be tragic for all concerned. Put it this way, if Neil was technically sacked in the coming days or months, then, imo, neither the board nor the manager would divulge to the media (or anyone at all) that this was the case; they’d merely say that Lennon left of his own volition with the board’s wishes.

I personally would love to see Eddie Howe appointed in May, with his south coast homesickness banished. He’s just what Celtic need, imo

Yet more strange comments from Lennon over the last couple of days.

Starting with “Jerry is ambitious but not unhappy”, I think I understand the point he was trying to make but it was put across terribly sounding like we have no ambitions of our own as a club.

To then say no one else will leave before Monday, now if anyone else is sold he will look extremely stupid. If a big offer is put in for Eddy or a decent offer for Christie or Ntcham surely they will be shown the door. I understand we can’t afford to lose Ajer just now but any of those other three can go, particularly the later two.

To then give the media fuel to talk about us even more, to come out with a statement that the Frimpong money is unlikely to be reinvested as we need it to mitigate the impact of Covid. Even if true just shut up and say a typical holding line, not throw more petrol on the huge fire we already have ongoing.

Then back to his old favourite commenting on transfers so first says we are quite the way down the road on one or two deals possibly loans (totally sick of these and are part of the problem we have in the first place). Then the next night that tune changes to no idea with transfers I will need to speak to Peter, again fuelling that great big fire.

It really is car crash stuff the now, just go already and let everyone move on. I know he is not the only one who needs to be relieved of his duties but he really isn’t helping anyone just now.

What I don’t get, is he has repeatedly said they tried to keep Frimpong now the money potentially 7 million has to be used to mitigate Covid. What would they have done if Frimpong stayed.
Just lies after lies. Just * off and never come back.

I'd take Rod Hull and Emu. At least the press conferences would be a laugh.

So one of two things certain to happen tomorrow.

    1) Lennon's gone and Transferbhoy stays

    Or

    2) Transferbhoy is gone and Lennon stays.

Probably going to get slaughtered for this first remark but Lawell over the longer term has been good for Celtic. However, he's now not recognising he is part of the problem and had a part in creating it or even if he does recognise there is a problem isn't capable of fixing it.

Either way, it is clear he has reached a point where he is not capable of taking the club further and should get out. He is now firmly the establishment as you say which is what makes it difficult for him to be made to go.
