Askren should be knocking him out, let’s get real. If anything else occurs it’s a stitch up.

    Circus pish regardless.

100%. If they make the rematch though they will sneak him back into the top ten and hope no body notices.

At this point Poirer, Gaethje, Chandler, Ferguson and Hooker make more sense and would be more interesting match ups than Nate Diaz.

Jake Pauls camp setting that fight up was pretty genius. They have picked someone who can sell a fight, is a bad boxer, isnt a dangerous puncher and has a bit of name recognition.

If they lose they can downplay it as Askren is a good MMA fighter with a good record. If they win they have just beaten a former UFC fighter in a boxing match.

Unlike most im actually looking forward to this fight pretty intrigued to see what is going to happen.

I can’t accept that. Askren has been in actual fights. Don’t care if it’s a different game.

You are looking forward to and are pretty intrigued by an annoying YouTube clown boxing a retired MMA fighter with no hip in a circus fight but you don’t want to see McGregor fight Diaz in an Octagon?

Khabib’s record is all the more remarkable when you consider he doesn’t like getting punched in the face.

Fights in which he grabbed a hold of his opponent, dragged them to the mat and didn’t take a single punch the majority of the time.

He shouted it as soon as he won.

    Ran over to DC.

Interesting yeah especially when you see Conor looking out of sorts, Khabib retiring, Ferg beaten to within an inch of his life, Hooker throwing his gloves in and now Poirier hinting at retirement. Probably won’t be long until we see Makhachev and Tsarukyan make a big rise through the division.

Don’t think he will retire, but understandably he’ll be approaching it. He was very much wanting that title fight in his interview.

I don’t like it when fighters stay in the game when their head isn’t completely in it though.

He’s also much younger, pretty athletic and dedicated a lot of his time the last couple years to getting better specifically at boxing. I won’t be surprised either way that’s all I’m saying. I get the argument that Askren is an Olympic level athlete and a champion in two separate top MMA organisations but that doesn’t mean he can box. I think it’s gonna be a close one.

It will definitely be close, imo.

They’re both * horrendous boxers. The Youtuber goes in with nothing to lose and absolutely no reason not to dedicate 100% on boxing until the fight.

    Cracking video.

You’d think Poirier invented leg kicks the way some people have been going on.

You’d get * on social telling them to get up or calling them *.

Think I’d rather be Ko’d than have my leg torn to bits, unreal weapon when used right.

Aye it was more the way the narrative was getting pushed that all of a sudden leg kicks have come into the sport the last couple of years and that’s what caught McGregor out.

Just watching some of Barboza’s would give me a limp :giggle1: would defo rather get sparked out cold than ending up with a leg like Faber...

Always felt with Barboza’s kicks he seemed to sink them right into his opponent and destroy peoples knees.
