Talking about "hysteria" again of the Celtic support.

If anyone has any problem with anyone saying anything personal against Mr. Lennon, one should go over his many past comments toward the Celtic support, there's plenty like the one above questioning fan mentality...

Sad thing is it's the expectation at this point.

I do understand what he means to some extent regarding how the club is run. Only from the perspective that we have done extremely well in the last 9 years and this year has been unprecedented in terms of coronavirus and all its implications.

If it wasn't a history making season and if we hadn't collapsed while our biggest rivals have been so consistent then I do think much more people would have given him and the players some slack.

Everything that could go wrong has went wrong for us this season it's actually hard to imagine us making things any easier for Sevco.

He really is a * of a man.
His attitude is getting worse, total disdain to answer questions and be approachable.

Not sure where to start on trying to breakdown the nonsense he spouts, but he is contradicting himself in the same interview and is yet again taking no responsibility for this season, blaming players not wanting to be here, covid, fans...we know the * now.

I will pick up on his last points about the 4 games no win - he claims for 2 of those games we had youth players out - not fully and the only reason we didn't field a semi experienced side is because of HIS inability to give them game time and manage a squad.
Secondly to that, Livingston played a reserve team against us in that 4th game, while we played full strength.

    * off Neil.

His attitude is still so shockingly dismissive and poor. Absolutely the wrong approach he’s taking.

Clinging on to this 4 game winless stretch being because of a harsh Covid breach. Calling Hazard his 3rd choice goalkeeper, he’s slaughtered the ‘boys doing a mans job’ on more than one occasion now and then we as fans are scratching our heads why guys like Frimpong and Dembele are away?

We are a laughing stock and he’s at the helm of it. Have some * pride and walk away.

We haven't done 'extremely well' for the last 9 years. This is a myth being peddled by Lennon and the board to hide their extreme inadequacy.

After the Huns died apart from one excellent Champions League group stage, Lennon served up utter dogshit and failed to win easy domestic trophies when the rest of the league was on its knees.

We don't need to go into the Deila era, but it's fair to say it was two more years of under achievement.

Rodgers' ~3 seasons were fantastic, no doubt. Notably the appointment of him and his team had * all to do with Lawwell, so he cannot use it to defend himself.

Now Lennon is back and within 18 months he's destroyed everything Rodgers built, not before using the muscle memory of Rodgers time to scrape a few medals for himself.

That's why people are * off. Gaslighting that the last 9 years have been untouchable and that it's all done to him and the board is * diabolical. Neil Lennon is * all without the support he hates so much. * him.

Don’t understand why he wasn’t challenged on his response to the question about ‘understanding the supporters discontent around the running of the club’.

His response was predictable - ‘we’ve won the league the last 9 years and 4 consecutive trebles’.

While I don’t want to discredit our achievement, winning the league was a formality for a number of seasons. Even when the Huns came back up, we were still miles ahead due to the financial advantage. We have seen them off in recent seasons when they’ve got stronger so I’m not saying our achievement is anyway tainted. We beat the opposition that was in front of us and that’s all we could do. The consistency in the last 4 seasons prior to this year is unbelievable and for me the quadruple treble is the most significant achievement.

But Lennon should have been challenged on:

    - The clubs failed recruitment policy (millions squandered)
    - Lack of communication / fan engagement which is fuelling the discontent
    - Failure to qualify for CL and EL embarrassments

He's got a seething burning desire to let rip in that presser, he held himself back. * knows what he says to the players every day. Just full of anger, no self-reflection AT ALL. I'd even give him a glimmer of respite if he apologised for the performances and admitting he has been in the wrong for some things as well. Disappointing doesn't cover it. No class at all.

Sad to see Frimpong go, others will follow, if not now, then in the summer.

The longer Lennon is left in charge of the team the more long term damage will be done and take us longer to recover from it.

Lennon. A "coach" that makes players regress and then has the brass neck to talk about development.

Hysteria??? I'm sorry but it's more than hysteria. The evidence against it being hysteria is heavily weighted.

    Domestic Football

13 points ahead at the top of the league when last season ended.

23 points behind (albeit with 2 games in hand) the 1st place team this season.

No wins in 4 games. On the back of 20 odd games prior to the new year, where we couldn't put together a run of wins.

And for a guy who has been around the club. He knows fine well that it's not acceptable. He knew the importance of this season. And now we have him and the board trying to downplay and ignore the significance.

    European Football

Now, "the club has been run fantastically well over the last 20 years".

In terms of bread and butter, Ok. At least you can put a good argument. Although a lot of it is past tense.

In terms of showing "ambition" and "progress" and the claims of how important European Football. Not even close.

Numerous Champions League qualifiers where the squad is underprepared. Even in the good times. If you're going to claim its importance, then don't serve it and expect results with the likes of Steven Moyoukolo or Eoghan O'Connell.

This season. Frenecvaros. Resulted in another Champions League Qualification failure. And modest at best showings against Riga and Sarajevo in the qualifying rounds of the Europa. With two humblings against Sparta Prague A and B teams. Folding in 45 mins against Lille, after leading 2-0. One of the worst defensive records in the competition history the outcome of our Europa League campaign. Over with 2 games to spare.

    Youth Development

Barry Hepburn and Liam Morrison have left even before reaching the Development Squad area(although Liam did train in pre-season with the 1st team). Noises of young Harper and Dembele looking elsewhere. The latter 2 have had brief dalliances with Senior football at the Club, for various reasons. But the path of progression doesn't appear to be clear. Bridging the gap between youth and 1st team has been an issue. No Youth Development League this season, the arrangement of friendlies is difficult in the climate. So for months, barring a few Glasgow Cup games. These boys aren't getting experience. Only now are we seeing loan deals being agreed. The B Squad or Colt Team won't happen, ironically out of the self-interest, which is what they criticise the bigger clubs.

Our model is to produce and sell on for profit. We're now seeing a trend where we aren't even reaching that stage of earning sustainable profit with our homegrown. And the purchases of foreign players like Dembeles and Edoaurds aren't going to happen if you can't offer them a Champions League level or sustained Europa League action.

There is nothing good about whats happening at this club right now. And you can talk about the past all you want. This club(and every player, staff member) claims to be ambitious. But its actions, don't back it.

A bootlicker for the board, a complete yes man.

No wonder Lawwell couldn't wait to get him back.

He needs to be at every press conference so these direct questions can be put directly to the manager every time.

The club are just sticking their head in the sand.
