All going well he’ll get taken for a few million in these personal injury cases. The Garda/DPP investigation will get re-opened and he’ll get sent inside

Always good to see McGregor get a hiding. One of the most overrated MMA fighters ever.

Always good to see him getting banged about.

Not sure where that leaves him. His whole hype is built on being a badass but it’s basically unravelling fight by fight.

Bought into his own hype unfortunately for him, takes a special mentality to stay at the top and he just doesn’t have it.

Class from Poirier, clear game plan to batter the calves and then finish a guy that’s never been finished with strikes.

He has to fight for the Title next, McGregor will continue on and fight another 2 or 3 times this year. Jumping back in at the top of the division was brave but ultimately a fail. Diaz III at lightweight works at this point.

Thought Jojo looked absolutely class, punished Eye and stopped all her grappling and clinch attempts effectively.

Some of her Muay Thai strikes are nasty as *, the front kick to the face looked brutal.

    She was outstanding.
Them kicks especially at the shin to keep the oppenent at bay were a joy to watch.

Edit...I think it was her shin strikes . Could have been a different fight...long shift yesterday i had.

Losses in MMA are much more common than in boxing. It would do little harm to another fighter's reputation, but both people who love McGregor and people who hate him seem to hold him to a different standard.

If I were McGregor, I would look to exit the game as quickly as possible. He had been fortunate or smart with his losses until this morning. Knockouts are ugly. Go and spend that money.

There's no doubt McGregor is a phenomenal athlete and fighter.

The thing is ( in my eyes) he has made his money , he is a business man - I don't think he is focusing on his fight game like he did when he rose to the top very quickly.

Still an absolute * and still top box office viewing material.

I don't expect him to finish his career with a loss like this though.
