He has the wrong manager to bring out the best in him.

Seems to have had the same issue with his previous manager. Coincidence? :43:

He was signed by Pellegrini who then got sack 4 months later and got replaced with the ultra-defensive Moyes.

In the right set-up, with the right manager and players around him providing chances, I still maintain Ajeti will score goals. He's still only 23 which is young as * for a striker.

He definitely has aspects of his game to work on and some conditioning to do but neither of those are going to happen under the current 'coaching' team.

There's no way I'm writing him off..

Showed how clinical he was when he was just in the door and hadn't played for a year really and was ridiculously unfit..

Then led the line excellently away at Lille for 45..

Get good movement around him, some pace and player's that will deliver and play to his strengths....and no danger he bangs them in..

Personally I'd start him every week from here on in. He'd love Turnbull..

I wouldn't write him off but I wish we had signed Toney instead.

I know did you notice he was on the floor for their equaliser last night, watch again if you didn’t see it honestly you wouldn’t see defending like that in under 7s...absolutely embarrassing and an insult to young Welsh on the bench

£5M we spent on this guy and he's lucky if he's making the bench at the moment!

Honestly, under Lennon I think he'd have flopped too.

Definitely a player there and while there will and should be a big clear out of players this summer Ajeti would be one I would keep. He has shown enough for me that he deserves more time.

At this point it would probably be unfair to write anyone in the squad completely off ... aside from Duffy and Barkas

A quick check shows he is actually 24 next month. I would argue that's not especially young for any footballer, regardless of position. Particularly 1 that maybe is edging towards the heavy end of the spectrum.

A quick check also shows in the, almost, 5 months under Pellegrini he made 2 starts and 7 sub appearances, mostly after the 80 minute mark. So you could, possibly, say his previous 2 managers haven't really fancied him.

I hope I'm wrong, and its not another hefty fee * up against the wall but its my belief he won't be a celtic player for the entirety of next season.

    .
I'd agree that 24 isn't a young boy any more but I still think there are qualities there for a good manager to work with.

He reminds me of a Hooper in that he has a knack for being in the right place at the right time.

Trim down some of the extra timber and get players in the team that can provide him with balls to attack from wide and I'm certain he can be a decent player for us.

I hope so, but I actually think the weight thing could be a problem given he also seems to have a bit of an attitude too. He reminds me more of monster munch than Gary hooper, possibly one of the reasons I can't take to him.
