I hate these surfaces with a passion and there is no room for them in top flight. That said, I did sympathise with clubs like Livi as to why they needed these pitches. They can’t afford constant call offs or backlog fixtures due to the harsh Scottish winter but this today just shows that they can’t even use the benefits of a plastic pitch and goes against the necessity of having one.

It's not even scooping the snow away. It's flattening it down into what could potentially turn into a layer of ice

Given there are no fans traveling I'd assume the call on that being made early is less pressing.

If match is called off Celtic should be awarded the match. They have a cup semi final on Sunday but seem to be making no effort to clear the pitch for tonight

In fairness the fact there is a snow plough on the centre circle suggests they are at least trying to clear it. These parks shouldn't be allowed in the top divisions they're a shambles in the summer never mind when they're frozen solid

Aye that’s true. On Sky though so you’d think they would want it on. Mind we had a game v St Mirren postponed that was meant to be on Sky but when it was played it wasn’t and we had to buy it off SMTV.

I think there has been to be fair. Yes it is almost wholly down to our ineptitude at defending but off the top of my head:

Wonder saves from Mcgregor in the old firm, clear penalty in hibs v huns not given against them, offside goal against motherwell, their almost total lack of covid complications.

Our last minute goals against us in hibs and Aberdeen games, decimated by covid once and seriously affected prior to this on separate occasion, julien injury before last game against them

Just what comes to mind immediately. I would rather lose this league by twenty points than two. It would hurt so much more as you could pinpoint it back to a single * up but if it was a huge lead you just try to forget it and go again next year

Nah, not having that mate, they * put this pitch down when they got into spflfl. They knew fine well it'd be a leveller, the league should never have allowed them to do it..

Nervous about this. I actually think Livi will win. I could list all the reasons why I think that but we all know them at this stage.

I'll take a 1-0 win right now. We're never keeping a clean sheet tho.
    Another frustrating watch.
How quickly we've come to this is astonishing.

I'm honestly going to be surprised and intrigued to see his attempt at a line up tonight.
Keep in mind how many of our players have been deemed not match fit this season - the 13 that have been missing the last 12 days should, by his own standards, not be match fit for this game.

Will also be less interesting and surprising to listen to him blame the pitch for when we inevitably drop points again tonight.

Good Celtic squads have struggled on this surface in the past

So if the “can’t be arsed headless chicken squad” rock up then I can’t see anything other than a defeat

Or just maybe we pull a few rabbits out the hat, have the best game of our season and take home all 3 points lol
