Aye this is true, see my edit above. But the way in which this is being weaponised (leading the news night after night for weeks according to my wee ma up the road) is sinister and contemptible. Dubai not the best idea in hindsight, but I am struggling to get worked up about it. If we had stayed, it would have been something else!

I cannot for the life of me understand why the club haven't put him out of his misery. Watching that again I genuinely worry for his mental health. He's lost the plot.

Neil Lennon has pointed the finger at a number of Scottish Premiership clubs and questioned their coronavirus protocols.

The Celtic manager confirmed another of his players has tested positive for Covid-19 as he angrily hit back at criticism of the club’s controversial trip to Dubai today.

Lennon missed recent draws against Hibernian and Livingston as he was self-isolating following the mid-season training camp.

And now the Hoops boss has claimed that some Scottish Premiership's clubs have not been following the strict protocols in place.

He said: “Show me anyone who is doing the right things.

“When we played Hibs we had to bus six players in two buses because we were told now that is the way it has to be.

“Three people on a 52 seater bus. That has not been going on throughout the season.

“We have been going to away grounds where we are cramped in like sardines.

“Boxing Day at Hamilton there was no social distancing there, there was no physical distancing.

“It is inconsistent. Protocols of different clubs are inconsistent.

“We go to St Johnstone all crammed into a little dressing room. Inconsistent.

“As soon as Celtic are deemed to do something wrong then bang. You are all wanting blood. It is absolutely scandalous.”

Both St Johnstone and Hamilton have been approached for comment.

I think with the benefit of foresight it was wrong tbh win lose or draw in the huns game I don't think we should have went had we won granted it probably wouldn't be blown up like this but taken in the context of the season it's horrendous

If we had stayed at home, someone gets covid, we would have been targeted the same. Better to get the warm weather training in at least! Should've taken the young team but, just in case

No he has not, he is sticking up for the club he loves, and we should all thank him for it. Not one headline on any news feeds condemning the team a few days or weeks before the Dubai trip.

    Nobody has mentioned the huns??
The pandemic and its scourge is awful, that’s not up for debate and no right minded person would debate that. Celtic absolutely shouldn’t have went on that trip.

That’s not what I’m talking about here though...like you, in football I only care about Celtic and in my opinion they have been used as a political football in an opportunistic manner in certain quarters of the government and media to either deflect blame from their own short comings or to make an example of!!

Don’t understand the relevance of the hun bit?? Haven’t mentioned them .

To be honest looking back at it again, it sounds like he has been told he's no longer needed at celtic and just thought * it, I'll break media protocols and state my mind.

I honestly don't think we would have been I can't see the reasoning behind the thinking either for the most part the criticism is of the pictures poolside with pints had we stayed here that is not even a remote possibility
