If they don’t appoint the right person then the revenue will drop off a cliff edge. ST holders have had enough and are seriously considering not renewing. A good appointment should be seen as an investment rather than a cost.

Look how much money Rodgers generated in 2 years.

    It’s really not.

It’s a market with very little liquidity. It takes very little cash to move a ‘next manager’ market.

There’s been a WhatsApp rumour doing the rounds all evening. 100 Sellick da’s having a tener each on Howe as a result would be enough for PP to pull it

I’d be happier with Cocu than I would with Howe..put it that way.

    No, it literally means nothing.

PP stopped taking bets on Martin O’Neill as recently as 30 November. It takes a relatively small amount of cash for them to suspend or pull a ‘next manager’ market.

These markets are simply a gimmick and a very good marketing tool. Fans and media outlets love to talk and reference these markets and the odds of candidates. Just like what’s happened is this thread

‘Eddie Howe is 1/3 with Bet365’
‘Well Paddy Power so have stopped taking bets on him’

The fact that NL is still in a job proves that JB’s claims weren’t unsubstantiated

    Hmmm.
Thank * Barnes has made a * of himself lately - otherwise he might have a point.

Watched derby a fair bit under cocu with knight playing. Very different teams for me. Lampard had far better players. Cocu had a youth team with a sprinkle of the waghorns.

We actually need someone like howie. Not some fancy named * nobodies heard of that the players won't get a natural boost from. Kakacolaumbianio or some pish won't be good enough.

You can bet SKY TV will be pushing/hoping Lampard gets the gig,get the old rivalry between himself and Gerrard.I think Howe is our best bet unless we look abroad.

Obviously I'd take Howe over Lennon any day..

He left Burnley as he was homesick though a few year ago to go back to Bournemouth..

I remember his stint no being all that there. Got relegated with Bournemouth also last year..

Big pressure and a lot of work needed here. Do we think if he was appointed...he could handle it?

His Bournemouth side's were attacking though with pace and intent. Good on the counter as well..

    Could be an excellent fit..

I do worry about this but I did also worry about how Rodgers' Liverpool team fell off a cliff at the end.

There's no doubt the rat was a safer bet for me..

Howe could be a masterstroke and right now it's well worth any potential risk. We can't get any worse than we are now anyway..

There is that nagging doubt that sometimes a club fit's someone best. Maybe Howe will be one of those types where Bournemouth are his and he struggles elsewhere. Time will tell..

He's been out a job all season. We should've pulled the trigger age's ago..
