I certainly wouldn't go so far as saying that Lennon will never be welcome back at Celtic Park. However, I'd say he'll get a polite round of applause and no more.

If he comes back, his legacy will be as the man who lost us 10IAR and served up a truly dismal season of abysmal performances, came out with embarrassing post match comments that beggared belief and blamed everyone except himself.

Agree Lennon deserves loadsa stick for what he’s did this season but saying he won’t be welcome back, he’s not murdered anyone and I don’t hear any Hun talking about sir Walters legacy as the man who lost the 10 in a row which strictly speaking that’s what he is

Smith didn't lose the 10 in November. He was the 1st person to win them 9 too.
Lennon would be welcome again but will never be seen in the same light as he once was. This season is not just about them being better, it's about us being pretty bad.

Yeah, Smith is a bad comparison. His Rangers team went in to the last game of their ten in a row season with a chance to win the title.

Can't sack him at any point of the season as he started it and we owe him it to finish it.

Part of his failure is his inability to motovate, especially with the lack of fans this season, we provide an extra few % that some of our players have clearly missed. It's clear the players needed our hunger and support this season, it shouldn't have been the case as professionals but it has played a part.

No fans has suited the Huns much better, playing without any tension and pressure from their own support.

Stripped down he's terrible tactically, with poor squad and game management. Not adept enough to compensate for the lack of supporters. Relying on the quality of player to get him through most games.

He was all about getting a reaction and getting the crowd and players fired up, football is nothing without fans, Celtic under Lennon are certainly testament to that.

Whether Lennon is welcome back (whenever) at the club should be a non-issue for me...

If he has/had any awareness of what he’s presided over this season and it’s significance to the support .... then he will keep himself well away anyway.

I wouldn’t say he isn’t welcomed back, but his legacy is completely tarnished for me.

He’ll always be a poor manager that benefited hugely from the Huns liquidation and ultimately put himself before Celtic and the 10.

His silence right now is very telling. I didn’t think he could sink any lower but here we are.

I remember someone on here defending Lennon by arguing that Lennon perhaps didn’t realise how bad the situation was (no laughing at the back please). Surely now even such happy clappers can see he’s absolutely at it.

My new thinking is he’s going to be here till end of the season because that’s when Lawell will be leaving.

Aye he will always be welcomed back, probably not with open arms mind you.

He's completely * his own legacy with the support. It won't ever be forgotten. But then neither should Neil Lennon, the player, the captain.

It could have been saved if he held up his hands at any point between the ferencravos game and the second defeat to Prague.

That second defeat was the final bail for most.

His choice of comments about the support though, for me that's always going to leave a bad taste.

He will use these two games as a defence to his season, that he wasn't the one to throw it away.
He will also use these games to justify not giving any more fringe players game time.
