Prelude to going back to a joint ‘old firm’ sponsorship on the kits again. Never wanted to be associated with that mob back then. Even more so now as it will validate the sevco continuation myth.

Celtic Football Club have teamed up with Cadbury – our new Official Global Chocolate Partner – to support the club’s charitable arm with a focus on giving back to the local community through the work of Celtic FC Foundation.

In doing so, Cadbury has exclusively created 1,967 limited edition Celtic FC Cadbury Dairy Milk bars, recognising the greatest achievement of them all – the 1967 European Cup win in Lisbon.

All funds raised through the sale of these exclusive 110g bars, priced £5 each, will be donated to Celtic FC Foundation’s Football for Good Fund (FFGF), set up in March 2020 in response to the global pandemic.

The Fund provides vital support in the form of food and essentials to thousands of vulnerable families, children, individuals, pensioners, refugees and those who are homeless or living in refuge, including an additional ongoing focus on supporting mental health.

Such is the generosity of the Celtic family around the world, the FFGF has already risen to over £1million to provide essential support to those in need and, with all proceeds from these new limited edition Cadbury bars going straight to the Fund, this support will continue into 2021.

I heard that if we won the 10, they were going to bring out a selection box featuring 10 different bars. Each one featuring a tribute to one of the 10 Irish hunger strikers.

Celtic Football Club are delighted to announce the extension of our successful partnership with Cadbury, part of Mondelēz International. This agreement will see Cadbury continue as our Global Chocolate Partner.

Since 2020, Cadbury and Celtic have worked together to use football as a force for good, based on our shared values, offering people a sense of belonging, community and providing fans with unforgettable experiences.

Cadbury has extensively supported the work of Celtic FC Foundation for the duration of the relationship. In 2021, the first limited edition product was created, the ‘Lisbon Lions Bar’, with all funds raised from the sale of the 1967 bars going directly to the Foundation’s ‘Football for Good’ campaign.

The following year, the ‘Champions’ limited-edition bar was released to celebrate the Club’s cinch Premiership Trophy win, again with all funds raised supporting the Foundation’s work in assisting the most vulnerable within our communities.

To celebrate the continuation of our partnership, Cadbury invited Stephanie Drew and family to the final match of the season at Celtic Park for a one-of-a-kind VIP, Matchday Experience, to thank them for their support of the Club’s charitable arm over the years.

Tony Hamilton, Chief Executive at Celtic FC Foundation, commented: “Cadbury have been a great partner for us, and we’re delighted that we can continue working together for a further two years.

“It’s very important to us that we work with organisations who share our values and Cadbury are a great example of that. We’d like to thank them for their ongoing support.”

Adrian Filby, Celtic FC Commercial Director, said: “We are delighted to continue this fantastic partnership with Cadbury. It is an organisation which has shown a real and meaningful commitment to our charitable work and social dimension, and we are proud to extend this association with such a high-quality brand.”

Nick Rogers, Cadbury Marketing & Sponsorship Lead for Northern Europe at Mondelēz International, said: “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Celtic Football Club.

"As we approach our 200th birthday next year, we’re determined to continue to support communities and fans through our ‘glass and a half’ ethos alongside Celtic Football Club.

"Over the past few years, we’ve already made a significant impact through our limited-edition bars and raising funds to support Celtic FC Foundation and we’re only just getting started.”

Additionally, both Celtic and Cadbury will continue to bring fans from all communities closer to the action. When the 2023/24 season kicks off this month, Cadbury will launch its biggest EVER ticket giveaway.
