Fine with that, but I’m no playing your version:

    Gay Mafia

    Gay Mafia
    Forum: New York
    Moderator(s): Untrod Tripod
    Unknown
    Status: Ruined
    Winner(s): no outcome yet

A short-lived but controversial mafia game. Although it was originally classified as a Large Normal Game, the Game Moderator revealed at the beginning of Day 1 that, although there were groups similar to the Mafia, the alignments were different: the town was divided into two Factions, both with the intent of killing all the other players. (like Spy Hunting Stand Down, whose stagnated game had occurred before Gay Mafia started, but with Roles).

At the end of Day 1, the town lynched one of the Mafia members, but UT mistakenly put that player's entire Role PM in the death post, including the names of that player's two partners. Although he tried to cover his tracks by rearranging the roles, the List Moderator for the Normal Games (Macros) halted the game.

I was thinking of hosting a Mafia game then I remembered I don’t have a clue how to do it.

    Somebody else do it.

Is there a particular theme any of you folks would love to see for a future BOTB? The group involved in the current BOTB have shown that these can run pretty quickly when everyone puts a shift in, this might attract more of you...

I'm listening to my 80s playlist right now and that would be * epic

Your game has been brilliant.....as for the next one, I also think the 80's would be a great era to do.:50:

@Valhalla the other variation of BotB is SongQuest, whereas in BotB you are repping one artist all the way through in SQ you can pick and choose any song, one hit wonders etc.

They both follow similiar sort of formats. Host names a theme, everyone nominates a song that fits, listen and vote (not for songs/group you are matched up against), and pverall work through process of elimination, but the format that seems to work best is like what is being used atm, where everyone gets 3 songs at least, so do get a bit of a sample before the knockout phases begin. Bit like the group stages at the world cup for example. :50:

I hated most 80s stuff at the time. But with hindsight it was a fantastic decade.

From early punk, mod revival and heavy metal through to techno. It was a * of an era.

80's theme just gets the same artists and songs over and over again Marty . Folk have complained before but I suppose its the music of most contestants on here , be difficult to keep everyone happy .
By the way whipper snappers I am well aware my choice of music grates most folks ears ...
Mind you 4 BOTB wins and a couple of song quests means I'm doing something right . ;)
