The thing is he was actually coming for crosses and dealing with them all game up until then. You just knew though when Laxalt gave that away it would end up in the net.

Up until then it was a toss up between him and Turnbull for our best player.

Means * all though. That was dreadful goalkeeping. He done well up until that, granted, but that monstrosity at the end is another example of why he’s been farmed out and not made the cut at the likes of Partick. Laxalt should be getting pellets for that stupid free kick too. I say all of this whilst also realising that Hazard, Laxalt and everyone else on that pitch and dugout are the least of our problems.

He was having a fine game up until the goal, albeit every shot he saved would have been a howler had he not saved it.

    Total liability from crosses though.

If Barkas had played tonight he'd probably have let one of those shots in.

Yet he'd maybe have handled the crosses better.

    Neither are good enough tbh

The GK position is a joke.

But his antics at that last and most important ( weak / half hit ) cross was * woeful !! he looked like a pantomime dame trying to swat a fly. Laughable

Just watched it again, * painful.

I thought Hazard looked nervous the entire game, repeatedly punched crosses and a couple of soft shots that a competent goalie would have held.

Laxalt doesnt deserve any blame, he had run and chased and fought more than anyone on the pitch, he was * at the very end and it showed. He gave away a freekick ( which the ref allowed them to take from a better position ) but the defence should have dealt with it easily, high slow free kick which a Hibs player managed to head ( weakly) back past Hazard who flapped at it ( just like Barkas in fact), poor toe-poke from Duffy straight and slow to the Hibs guy.

Marshall would have been better than any of our current three, but some laughed at the suggestion of him as a replacement after FF too.

We just have to run with him for the next few games, hopefully he will settle down a bit.

For sure. It doesn't do a player good to be dropped, brought in, dropped again etc. Especially when you're one of three keepers being chopped and changed. Not convinced he's the answer, but let's give him a chance and see if he grows into the role.

We were in the last minutes of the game and he punted the ball up the field from a goal kick, they won the ball which lead to free kick, why wasn't he playing it short and wasting time, simple things like that do my head in

Let's be honest he's getting the next game regardless. I can't see them switching Doohan in even if they recalled him.

Another chance to impress or dismay.

Didn't he have to isolate and that's why he missed the game last night?

Yeah but the point still stands when you the season is surveyed as a whole.

The GK position is one of the weakest areas of our team.

Doesn't really matter if it's Hazzard, Barkas or Bain, none of them is good enough to be number 1.

Another reason why we're a shambles.

Yep always drives me mad when keepers punt the ball up field and hope we get lucky when they could just roll it out to a defender and let him try take it up the field.

Can't believe the guy cost us 5m and we have to play a 90k 3rd backup keeper
