Lawwell wanted Lennon back because he was cheap and also because he would just be a "yes man" and allow Lawwell to act as a self-appointed Director of Football.

DD is usually happy to let Lawwell make these decisions (the notable exceptions being the appointments of MoN and Rodgers).

As you say. most fans could already see the decline in performances from when Lennon took over in Feb that season and didn't want him back permanently. Clearly that's why Lawwell tried and failed to slip it past fans while we were celebrating the Treble Treble.

I still remember my feelings of celebration turning to a mixture of disbelief and anger as the news filtered through and was then confirmed.

All for it for the banter purposes. Fair points well made. For me, I just wanna move on and build for the future, where I can enjoy reading about us and watching us. This season has been hideous so far. Can get worse as well.

Would rather we held ourselves to a higher standard of integrity, than to which those inbred knuckle draggers screamed * murder last season.

If it was voided, that egotistical * Lawell would just keep Lennon and on again and hope for the best.

Spot on. Lawwell doesn’t want anyone that might challenge him or call out his * bullshit. Just someone that is delighted to be in employment and can’t get a decent job anywhere else. Lennon is the ideal candidate because he has huge sentimental credit with the support.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘twice a week advice on zoom’ he gets from Lawwell is things like, ‘play Christie so we can move him on, okay Neil?’.

I say the same but we must say, this is the level we sunk. I would be glad to see almost anything coaching Celtic right now: Jack Ross, Steve Clarke, Damien Duff, Kennedy. Maybe this is part of the plan, making the cheapest and easiest solutions acceptable to fans.

Yep. The expectations are tactically lowered so the fans will accept *. Lennon was the gateway to that after Rodgers.

Fans are thick as * if they fall for it after Rodgers. We obviously can do better than Stromsgodset’s manager and the failed Hibs manager.

‘No one wants to come here.’ .. aye no bother.

How about we start question if we can’t get a good manager because we’ve asked the control freak accountant being paid £3.5m a year to deal with it?

After clearly showing the club can get in likes of Rodgers, fans should not settle for less.

From profits on the Bank to trophies in the cabinet, hiring someone of that ilk has shown what this club truly can achieve.

Anything less is an unacceptable level of penny pinching and serious lack of ambition at the club.

As a result, combined with Covid I'll not be surprised in the slightest that we see record losses if this * show continues.

    The season is finished.

I've never been so resigned on the 11th January.

Only silver lining to this is we don’t need to see that pot ugly face for another week and a half.

I’d love it if him and Kennedy isolated indefinitely.

I think it’s fair to call him a * now, legend or not. Taking the team to Dubai for a week during the peak of a pandemic was cuntish behaviour, especially considering his performance this season. The lack of respect for the support is cuntish.

Obviously there will soon be a flood of posters in here saying it was nothing to do with Lennon, it’s the board’s decision and poor wee Lenny is innocent. What can you do?

Awe well the good news is there might be an improvement on the park and in training now he has to isolate for 10 days. Some youth players finally get a chance in 1st team as well.Should be some interesting couple of games ahead.

This has worked out nicely for him.

He escaped blame for the hun game because of Bitton and he’s basically got a pass for the next 3 games. He’ll definitely be manager next season.

Absolutely no point keeping him at the club any longer...

Start the search for the management team now
