He's playing in a decent league and doing a decent job.

Hope he does get a move to Aston Villa or similar. His time here must have been *.

He was rank when he got his chance here. Maybe he was overwhelmed, or just not ready to be thrust into first team action with a team that is always on front foot.
And he was, in my book, a * for not going to Killi on loan.
But thats all in the past.
However, he has went to Belgium, and made a go of it, playing regular in a decent league.
Maybe he has had some proper coaching out there???
Right now, we have very few options at center half.

A year and a half left. He didn't work here, my guess is like Duffy he works for a heavy defending but low scoring team. That's not the defender we need.
Also if he is playing well we should at least get our money back in June, possibly a profit.

Yeah, he had a rotten time here. Just wasn't ready for the step up to Celtic.
Happy he's doing well in Europe and hopefully has a decent career and gets a move and we get a return on him.
Who knows if the clubs been keeping an eye on his progress but if we don't study teams we play I fukn doubt it haha.
Nae point slagging him off as we have current defenders who can easily take that limelight off him.

Thought - like many of our players - he was thrown in at the deep end and have some sympathy for him in that regard. Hopefully his career kicks on now.

Threadbare Celtic can’t recall Jack Hendry in this window - despite his impressive displays for KV Oostende.

The Scottish champions have brought back a number of their loan players to flesh out their squad with 13 players, Neil Lennon and two other staff currently self-isolating after a Covid-19 outbreak.

Celtic have taken Ross Doohan back from Ross County and Scott Robertson from Gillingham.

Scotland cap Hendry, however, can’t be drafted in because there is no January recall in his loan agreement.

Belgian side KV Oostende made it clear before they signed the classy defender that they wanted a deal for the entire season

That agreement also suited Hendry as he was keen to get out there for a prolonged spell of first-team football.

It is a blow for Celtic as Hendry has been a standout for Oostende.

They currently have one of the top defensive records in the Belgian top-flight, after almost being relegated last season.

Hendry helped Oostende to seal a shock win over third-placed Charleroi last weekend.

The 25-year-old, who still has another season left on his contract beyond this one, has impressed and Oostende are keen to sign him permanently.

Hendry, however, is already attracting big interest from England and clubs in other top European leagues.

Standing out for Oostende doesn't make him the answer to our problems, he is *, Oostende are *, with the greatest of respects to the Belgium league it is *, this * is not and never has been the saviour. Wish him all the luck in the world nothing against him personally but he is crap.

Sad state of affairs when we want this fella back because he would change nothing.

Agree with @V For Vendetta, he's never the answer to our problems, irrespective of how well he's playing there.

A positive loan spell is good all round, means we might get a decent fee in the summer for him. All the best and we move on.

He’s the best defender in Europe just now.

    You’ve obviously missed him playing
