    If it’s a 6 month loan deal with an OPTION to buy at the end I might entertain it. The 6 month part might indicate Lenny is certain to be away in the summer, the “option” part signifying that it will be at the new manager’s discretion whether we get him in permanently.

    But one player who could come is Filip Benkovic with the centre back available from Leicester.

    He had a spell on loan at Celtic two years ago and Kennedy said: "It's probably a position now, with Christopher Jullien being injured, that we have to look at. We are a bit short in that area now.


    Filip is one who we are very well aware of and have spoken about. We know what he is capable of, and he's a guy who has been here and knows what it's about.

    "So he is certainly on a shortlist of options to strengthen the centre-back position."

    Leicester City defender Filip Benkovic is joining Belgian side OH Leuven on a season loan.

    The 23-year-old returned from a loan spell with Cardiff City last week and had been discussed as an option by Scottish champions Celtic.

    Benkovic previously had a loan spell at Celtic in the 2018-19 season.

    However, with Neil Lennon unsure, Leicester have moved to strike an agreement with Leuven for the Croatia international.
