A loan deal for a player, who I recall spent more time on the bench/injury table than on the park.
Used by a manager who will deem him not match fit for at least 8 weeks, to play in a season where we have * all to play for.

I am sure this loan deal and waste of money (not Benkovic fault who I do like) will work wonders for any potential new manager next year when he needs a settled backline.

I liked him when he was here. Thought he was our best CB comfortably.

I agree that it’s underwhelming being linked with players who have already played for the club but it just proves the theory that our recruitment & scouting system is extremely poor.

However I do think he would be a good signing and partner for Ajer. He’d be comfortable in a 2 and 3 as well which is a bonus.

We need to sign 2 CBs in my opinion and if we can cut Duffy’s loan then great. Ajer, Jullien, Benkovic and Gallagher would be a good 4 to choose from.

 

Is this really the best we can come up with? A guy that's barely kicked a ball since his last loan spell with us.

This is a very underwhelming rumour, tbh. He clearly has some talent, based on what we saw from him in the hoops, but the issue is his injury record. I haven't seen him play since he left us but the stats aren't promising. Only 10 games for Bristol City and just 1 for Cardiff this season. Whether he's been missing through injury or just not being picked, it's not promising.

What will it take for our club to invest decent money in a decent squad. This penny pinching and missing out on players because we wont pay the going rate i.e. McGinn is a complete and utter embarrassment. We should have had proven top quality players with a good pedigree in the door at the tail end of the 9 campaign to blow the huns away but as usual we have * it. The board only care about lining their own pockets and as usual it is the fans who suffer. Wanks...

 

Cant believe people happy with a guy who cant get a game for Cardiff City. We are spiraling downhill rapid, this is a Willo Flood type signing.
