I like him defensively. Offensively he flatters to decieve, looks athletic and comfortable on the ball yet cant cross to save himself. I'd only buy if its a big price cut

Can’t make my mind up on him.

Looks really good defensively but the amount of times he shanks a cross or cuts inside instead of getting to the byline is starting to annoy me.

Definitely wouldn’t sign him permanently. AC Milan will be wanting £5/6m plus because of his pedigree and international background.

We need full backs who can first and foremost defend but can also be deadly in attack. Good full backs are so important to breaking down the tight defences we face every week in Scotland.

Would sign him with a manager in place who actually develops his players because Laxalt's aforementioned deficits could easily be trained. Determination and pace like he has, on the contrary, can't.

Anyway, the last 1,5 years have shown that our current management can't develop players so we're basically * because we rarely can afford players who are developed to the standards we would need to progess domestically and especially in Europe.

You have to ask yourself why AC Milan are willing to cut his price tag half way through a loan spell..

Yeah they must need to sell players. Personally I would take him. Mainly because I know what we would be getting and little gamble.

    We need better.

We’ve already got one LB who isn’t good enough to be first choice.

When he first came in he was brilliant for those few games then his confidence went like the rest of the team. We've definitely not seen the best from him, but we have a worrying lack of quality in the final 3rd from both first choice full backs, you need much better when playing a narrow diamond and how often they'll have the ball in the final 3rd.

Signing this guy is purely dependant on the outcome to the following:

    A) If Lennon is somehow still the manager next seasonn- then, no.

    B) If we manage to secure a dynamic manager/ head coach with a knack for improving players and a bit of tactical nous - then, aye

Laxalt has the potential to be deadly for us. Just need the right manager to coach him.

We need a LB and a RB, neither of the current options we have are good enough.

With Frimpong, Hatem and Ajer, I really don't see why RB would be a priority. Frimpong in particular has bags of potential, if he's not improving I'd blame Lennon. A new RB won't fix that.

Hatem and Ajer will be offski, young Jezza is a great prospect but for me he's not a no1 choice RB right now, also Taylor is decent as a back up LB but no more than that.

We badly need a proper manager in the door to sort things out, it's all a bit of a mess tbh, even the GK situation is a dugz dinner.

Hes not bad, could do with working on his crosses but over all he can deal with anything our league requires.

Look at it this way if we were looking to get a proven player better than him we couldnt afford it,imo hes a player who could settle in and improve and we could get him on the cheap.

If the price is €8m as quoted he won’t be coming here nor would I want us to pay that for him.

Laxalt’s play is pretty good but his use of the ball in the final third is atrocious, particularly his crossing. Why he never tries to go to the byline and cut the ball back I don’t know.

We need solidity in the full back positions, right now i don't think we have that.

I think a better manager could have him playing better and help improve his final ball. At that price though I'd rather not.
