Football management has moved on rapidly over the past few years, with Data analysis and sports science now an integral part of the professional game across most leagues and divisions.

Rodgers used the 'new' tools well and extensively, which you could see in the bulking up and consistently of performance particularly in Tierney, Calmac, Forest and Brown during his time with us.

Under Lennon, and just as they have improved and established these ideas, we've gone backwards.
Remember the 'day off tomorrow' after the league cup final?
Compare that to Rodgers highlighting Boyata in the gymn, late at night working in his conditioning.

Yes the first half today was much better in many aspects, but there were still disillusioned players underperforming (Eddie, Christie) a distinct lack of composure and precision (Frimpong, Laxalt) and regrettably you just knew they'd change things and improve - whereas you knew we only had plan A.

Obviously Bitton's red was a kick in the balls, but we should never have been in a 'must win' situation at Ibrox this early in the season.

The complacency that they'd implode, we'd catch and overtake them has been evident all season.
And it's cost us something historic.

It was in the recruitment and retention of players this summer, the physical conditioning from the start, the performances individually and collectively domestically and in Europe this season leading into this game.

A number of poor decisions, and ones that Lawwell, Desmond and Lennon own entirely.

    One question.
Who would be stupid enough to replace Lennon knowing the way things are run at Celtic.
Its almost as bad a poison chalice as the Scotland job has been.

Before this season began I regarded him as my favourite ever Celt. That's gone. I just want him out of the club now. I won't ever forget the good things he did in the past and the shameful stuff he endured in his first stint as manager, but it's all been tainted now. His name will always have the stigma of being the manager who failed to deliver the 10 attached to it.

It's sad that it has come to this but he should never have been put in this position by the people above him. The wrong man for the job at the wrong time. Sorry Neil, but you were.

That’s why we need to withhold our cash and get rid of the board. Then we can run things properly and get good management in.

We've gone from winning everything available. To this season, only the Scottish Cup being the viable/attainable trophy.

That's a massive drop in standards.

And I don't want to hear folk talking about being "spoiled" and so on.

    * all to apologise for wanting the best for this club and wanting to win all the time.

Writings been on the wall could probably mate rhyme of another 10/15 questionable performances since he took over

it’s embarrassing that’s there not even the notion that the board don’t find this acceptable

When you sit down and think about it, it's hard to gauge what the Celtic board really do think of Neil Lennon.

On the one hand they think so little of him that they won't even allow him to hire his own backroom/coaching staff. That's a huge slap in the face that any top manager simply would not accept.

On the other hand tbey seem to be willing to sit and watch months of * performances and humiliating results but still publicly back him to magically turn it around. Which suggests they actually do rate him as a manager.

I don't know what they're playing at. But ultimately they have failed us all and I hope people will not soon forget that. Blowing the 10 in the fashion they have is 100% unforgivable.

He should have gone after the Hearts game, which was too late anyway for the league, but gave him his treble.

Never felt he'd get us the 10, it's actually bizarre to think the last 2 times we have lost the league (Yes, this season has gone) was yours truly.

Didn’t the bears say they would review the situation in January or am I imagining that? 19 points behind I would say that needs a review.

Nah, the mercenary is still filling his boots at the expense of the club and fans, whilst Lawell is plotting their escape from the club in the summer.

Let's be honest no manager worth their salt is coming into this situation, if it's not Lenny it would be Kennedy until the end of the season.

It'll be Lenny seeing it out, just need to stick with the same system that's been working in recent weeks, sign a CB to partner Ajer & make a couple other personnel tweaks like getting Christie out, target 19/19 wins as much as that'll be a mountain task, this would rival the 3IAR season under Strachan if we won it where there was no more margin for error & we had to beat the huns twice second half of the season, which we did, although back then we had a world class keeper.

If it’s Lennon seeing the season out we won’t qualify for the CL next year and will have a massive, massive task ahead of us to win the league.

Rebuilding should’ve started a few months ago. It needs to start now.
