Wont be down to lenny! how can yous put this at lennys door when hes no say over the money. * have forster up that road quicker than anything if lenny had his way! And another thing, they could be just playing the game with forsters club throwing it out there that we dont want him just to keep the numbers down if he eventually comes. But in saying that, Lenny might just be right because the board might not sanction another move for a keeper since we spent 5m at the start of the season.

 

Having thought about it more since I posted the comment I do belive the board will be more to blame regarding lack of January recruitment. I can see your point.

 

Why would the board sanction players, lets be honest our managers dont pick nor buy them, the see that the league is hanging by a string so why back a manager who will most likely be out the door come may.

 

Regardless of the manager situation in the summer, we have no width in the team. Yes Mikey is back in the mix and Forrest is back next month, but we've had pretty much half a season with no wingers, and to not strength in the wide areas in January would be criminal imo.

A few injuries away from the same scenario happening again.

Complete rebuild now. Putting it off to the summer just simply gives the board another excuse for throwing away European football.

Bit of a dilemma here I think. If we sign players in January are the board backing Lennon for next season or is it someone else making the signings, like Hammond and or Kennedy who could possibly be staying. We're in a very precarious position,19 point gap notwithstanding.

 

Think I'd prefer we sign nobody. Would give me a bit of confidence that the board have made a decision.

Absolutely no reason to delay the inevitable. Changes need to happen now.

 

I think there will be more players going out than coming in, with the only players coming in being "projects" so we can sell on. It will be Lawell trying to balance the books, Ntchamp, Eddy, Christie and Rogic I feel will be going in this window, a couple of unknown 20 years olds coming in on free's. End Duffy and Laxalts loans frees up more money. If Desmond has any ambitions to take the club forward then he will be looking at getting a top class Manager and coaching staff in, when he is in give him a budget and get players in BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS , we reset and go again. If we do not, and the Huns have a successful CL qualifying campaign next season they will turn the tables and eb the dominant team for a few years.

 

Says something that I wouldn't be disappointed to see all in that list gone in January plus Barkas and Elhamed too to clear out anyone there is doubts about.

I expect Lennon will be here to the Summer but the time should be spent bringing in a manager, getting his backroom staff in place, who can rebuild, develop youth and has a known budget and targets.

And none of your usual Roy Keane/MON picks sentimentality involved.
