    Ben waiting a few years for an internet upgrade for bringing it in under ground so i can get some sort of decent speeds however the main company Eir that looks after the infrastructure are a * joke in this country! I think the old dial up we had 20 yeas ago in Belfast was faster than im getting now on this wifi!

    I have had to get separate routers with its own monthly packages for us all because if we just use one, its even worse. What i want to know is, ive heard people talk about boosters before here and there but TBH i know nothing about them. How effective are they and are they only useful with certain ranges, systems etc..?

    Interested to know what type of speeds yous are getting yourselves compared to me here.

    Go to nperf.com and try that website. Its what the actual engineers use to test speed.boosters only boost your WiFi signal round the house to say an area which is really bad. Your speeds that you posted earlier are really bad tbh

    :giggle2::giggle2:

    Still waiting on the real pandemic happening before i purchase one(or a few) :smoke:

    Though in saying that, i might just get one anyway in spring Pack for eating the grass. Sick to * of cutting my garden(3/4 acre back and front) Good investment they are and as the aul saying goes, when in rome do what the romans do. Lots of people here have them for that reason. The concept of owning a goat is alien to some people, esp those who live in a city. It was to me before i lived here! But * it, its some craic and wind up on here now haha. Wont live that one down for awhile yet im sure :rofl::rofl:

    See to be honest @leeso-ardoyne, if I had a fireplace like yours I'd be happy without the Internet and just sitting by that with some records playing all day long

    Funny you mention this, i refused to get the internet in my house for years because i knew once i got it it, id lose something special like that that you get from being out in the countryside! I would always used the internet in the house in town we have but ended up getting * off with having to drive in when something important needing done with my work on the laptop, plus the kids * hated it out here without internet! My work schedule is flying these days so now badly need good internet speeds! The company here that look after the infrastructure are a * joke waiting on an upgrade though!

    As for that fire, there has been days many a thought has went into it when ive switched off from the world. Although when its roaring it can fairly put you asleep! Can turn one into a right lazy * haha! 30kw multi-fuel stove it is so can take some amount of fuel and when its roaring, theres some heat belting out from it! Thats what them tri fold doors are for. When its roaring i would open them and fold away into the corner to create the open planned space into the dinning room/kitchen because sometimes it can be unbearable.
