I've got nothing against Ross but think the next manager needs to have a proper team round him. We can't leave anything to chance.

The one thing I've noticed this time with Lenny is he looks like he's trying to do it all himself whereas Slippy has got everyone round him helping him.

The first time with Myjallby, Thompson and Parker he was always in discussion. Myjallby would do press conference for him to take the heat off etc.

Doing ok at St mirren and Sunderland shouldnt be the standards of manager we are aiming for, kean was at Sunderland and gained promotion id still steer clear of him.

Imo we should be aiming(realistic budget) for someone experienced in dealing/playing with players at the highest level and will have the respect of all the players.

I would worry if we brought in the likes of Ross some of the senior players may not have the respect the may have for a more established manager.

I couldnt give a toss if the guy is Scottish or Italian but i understand what ye mean and i think your rite on that point.

The problem is mate,we are taken a risk with an unproven manager.

Of course nothing is guaranteed even with a more experienced and established manager but imo if we brought in a more experienced guy at least we could rest assured he would know what to expect when he takes the job.

Anyway as ye say sadly it looks like lennys here to stay.

Keane's been terrible since that promotion. Ross has been pretty successful wherever he's been so far. He didn't do just ok at St Mirren - they were at least 12 points adrift with not long to go when he came in and he kept them up - says a lot for his man management as he had the same players that had got them in trouble. Shows he he can turn things around quickly. I'm not saying he's definitely the answer but he wouldn't be a ridiculous choice.

Exactly. Mind you, being a member of the walking dead must have implications for your memory.

Any potential manager we may have sounded out will look at us tonight and be excited with the attacking options they may have at their disposal.

But, the defence and how we defend as unit wil mean the new manager will have to be an all rounder.

Defence could be better they do have ability but the tactics between the midfield support and defensive line is a shambles like both sets of players don’t trust each other and end up getting in each other way

They're only grim if thats who the board limit us to. There is some great managers out of work at the moment but no doubt we will be lumbered with Strachan til the end of the season
