I wanted him permanently and absolutely felt nothing but admiration for the guy.

After the first Sparta Prague game, I wanted him gone. It isn’t just results, it’s the fact that our play has been substandard from the opening day and has only regressed since. I absolutely stand by the statement that we’re lucky to be within 5 points of Sevco even if we win our games in hand, because our play thus far really hasn’t merited it.

The fact he’s still here, after all this time, does make me resent him somewhat. Maybe my feelings will soften in time, but he’s let the club down massively in this whole shitstorm.

Its like they're living in a parallel universe where there's just a wee hiccup to get over. Ive never seen a Celtic manager and board so out of touch with the fans and actual reality. Unbelievable, totally taking the p***

The hard bit for me is we are * but we shouldn’t be. When Willie Falconer, Mark McNally, Wayne Biggins and guys like that are in the team you can kinda accept why, but this shouldn’t be happening. We have good players.

NL: On the scenes on Sunday, we were disappointed and hurt. I understand the frustrations of the supporters. We are not in a great run at the minute. We are in agreement, we must do better and we have to do that with results and performances.”

NL: “For 20 years, I’ve done everything in my power to bring success to the club and fans. That’s not going to change. We are working so hard to turn everything around and the players are feeling it, they need my support as well.”

NL: “It’s a difficult time because of the results and we know we are better than that. Our reaction when we go a goal down has to be better. We are confident we can turn it around and confident we can go to Italy and put in a good performance.”

NL: “Elyounoussi won’t travel. Duffy’s having his knee assessed, he picked up a knock today so we’ll see how he is. I’ll still put a strong team out and give some players some much needed game time as well.”

He keeps saying he's confident himself and the players can turn this around. Based on what? He's been saying this for weeks now and, if anything, we're getting worse. Words are meaningless unless backed by action and the bottom line is there is not one shred of evidence on the park that NL and those players 1) Recognise the teams flaws, both collectively and individually. 2) Know how to correct those problems. 3) Are capable of getting themselves fit enough and to work hard enough to match their various opponents. 4) Have the desire and determination to actually turn this situation around. It's one thing trying to kid other people on but the danger is you end up kidding yourself on which is what seems has happened with Lennon.

I'm trying to not hate him, I am telling myself that he did not just say the fans voice serves no purpose.

But he * did just say that.
    He is a grade A egotistical *.

I actually still had a glimmer of hope for the title after County defeat as I "knew" he'd be off. I also "knew" the board would have had some decent candidates ready to step in and steady ship, they HAD to.
    * off Neil you * shameless, clueless *.

He’s brought a lot of success. He’s also brought a lot of humiliations.

“They don’t sack managers for the sake of it.”

    * off, Neil. Needs to leave the media duties to someone else if he wants to keep his reputation intact.

Players in total disbelief. They'll need to let Milan score 20.

Literally within a sentence he accepts he probably should have been sacked then says if he was sacked it would have been 'for the sake of it'

So it's a bad month we're having now. Honest to * man, we've been utter * all season apart from a few games.

Do we think there is any scoreline v Milan that will get him the sack?

Part of me still holds out hope that they’re letting the Milan game be his last, safe in the knowledge that we’re getting pumped anyway, so why bring in someone new to inevitably get things of to a bad start.

I’m almost certainly wrong, but happy to buy into it regardless.

No doubt you are wrong, as will I be in my hope that it is his last game as well - so the board can pretend they done it on the back of the Milan result and not the "rioting" mob on Sunday

We will both be sorely disappointed come Friday morning I presume.
